It just really confuses things.
I'd say it should be removed and users should be able to pick one of their previous or current names to keep forever.
I get that it's funny and all, i even had some fun with it (you can't see it though cause Ed removed all evidence for [REDACTED] reasons.) But knowing who people are is more important imo, as we are such a small community.
Anyway tell me what you think and if you have a different idea feel free to share your opinion.
