I have an overclocked Raspberry Pi 4 and i'm wondering if it'll work with simpleplanes once i install a capable OS like android 10 TV.
Currently, Overclocked system specs are:
Broadcom BCM2711, Quad core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit SoC @ 2.1GHz
4GB LPDDR4-3200 SDRAM (3.9GB Available)
H.265 (4kp60 decode), H264 (1080p60 decode, 1080p30 encode)
OpenGL ES 3.0 Graphics
VideoCore VI Graphics Processor @ 750Mhz.
I'm wondering if this will run simpleplanes good?
I mean, it runs okay on my 2GHz chromebook, but the chromebook uses cloud computing to pull off more intensive tasks.
@superTT Chromebooks suck.
@NexusGaming sudo su
sudo reboot
@FujiwaraAutoShop aeiou

@FujiwaraAutoShop hm I can get 100%CPU if run SP, Opera and Aimp4. But only one SP newer eat so much. The main problems is GPU and low amount of RAM. But thats enough for my crafts.
@FujiwaraAutoShop looool
@superTT 2GHz Intel Atom X5-E8000 With Intel HD Graphics 400, No discrete GPU, Passive cooling. Uses over 100% CPU(What???).

@NexusGaming i n
@superTT Nope, dead wrong.
anything over 700 parts and simpleplanes DIES.
Everything is low.
@FujiwaraAutoShop on your desk
I think you can run more than 1000 parts on low anyway
I have 4x1.9gHz processor 2GB 1600gHz ddr3 and intel HD graphics (shit) and SSD, and with win10, so I have maximum 1GB avalible RAM, and can run over 1500 parts on low, on 2000 SP dead. About comfort: I can run 1000 parts on all low, despite physics and static high reflections (and may be with middle shadows and high ground/ocean, with 2x or 4x smoothing, but thats depends on craft) anyway before 1000 I have nice fps on ~middle graphics setings thich is enough comfort for me
@NexusGaming imagine having a gaming pc in your pocket and not i n your desk.
I agree :) @FujiwaraAutoShop
@FujiwaraAutoShop Haha S20 (which has 16gb ram) players go brrr
@KangaKangaTheRedNosedRoo Agreed.
With the right amount of money, and the right choice, you can turn one into a full server. With multiple, you can make a cluster.
They're the best little computers, for industrial, home, or just personal use.
Yeah, you’ll be able to play though.
Raspberry are really underrated bits of tech. Sure they might barely be able to run things that a good quality gaming pc can but they’re really good to work with. @FujiwaraAutoShop
@Grogu this man has money for an iphone 7
This man hasn’t realized I only play on an iPhone 7 @FujiwaraAutoShop
@KangaKangaTheRedNosedRoo I'm looking for the most smoothness, so i'm gonna stay on minimum graphics.
I wanted to run it on a raspi so i could get a higher FPS and use builds with more parts, like
The minimum part count for smoothness on my chromebook is 360.
Maximum Playable part count for the chromebook is 475.
Anything above is too laggy.
Since the raspi has higher clock speeds, it should run better on higher part counts.. let's say, 450 minimum, 600 maximum.
@Grogu this man has money for a real pc
This man wants to run SP on a raspberry pi
Yeah probably!
My iPad 4th gen runs about 300 parts on 1gb of ram with 1.4Ghz of Processing power and only quad core graphics so I reckon it’ll work.
Just benchmark on minimum graphics then work it up from there.
