Why!!!!!!!??????!!!!! My aircraft is leaning to the left and the front gear just pops off

60.4k PapaKernels  4.0 years ago

So first the front gear
When I retract the front nose gear it just pops off, aircraft collision is turned off, so wtf! I have no idea why. I have a small spring that's connected to the hinge rotator, and the spring has a connection to a piston (that is disabled) and then to the wheels. So why the heck? If you could help that would be amazing!
The leaning problem
My plane also has a lean to the left, and I have no idea why. Nothing is being doubled on that side, and anything I think it is like a stabilizer that's to small and nothing.

If you could help with either issue or both then it would help me out a bunch!

front gear is different now but you get the idea

Your plane is probably turning on its own because of the size of the "cockpit piece", set the size to 1,1,1 and try mirroring the plane if that doesn't work

@xboxseriesx the part that you disabled colision on would be able to go up into a fuselage block, that's how you can make custom gear

@xboxseriesx in the xml menu, look at the names and one should be disablecolision, go to the input and it should say false, make it true, no caps.

@JeskoGoesVROOM the rotator is attached to a spring, but below the problem was fixed, but at high speeds it falls off, I'm going to keep it as its realistic. @Lixcuudis

If the things below don’t work, it’s usually because you set the mass of a piston, rotator, or suspension to 0. Setting their mass to 0 messes things up.

for the LG "popping off" you said there was a piston holding it, so try going in OL with the piston selected and see if "preventBreaking" (or something like that) is turned to true, as that will prevent the piston from seperating.

@NotSoNormalPioneer CoT is alllll the way in the back, CoM is pretty close to the front gear. I could put a screeny so you can see the aircraft.
