SP is great and all but the UI isn't really easy (no tinker panel, nudging must be done using keyboard keys, etc). I plan to begin with a big project but motivation lacks

@malumuteanaerospace yep
shaping the fuselage in SP is hard
@tsampoy ah yes I can't wait, if the mod comes out I'll DEFINITELY come back to SP
Edit: oh and I kinda feel guilty for not taking my time and learning SP. I bought the Aerospace Engineer bundle with SR2 in mind. But SR2 was too difficult for me in the beginning, so I just sticked to amateur planes on SP. After a while I got bored of SP and moved to SR2, which I currently play
@Doublehsh Yeah. Someone is making a mod that REALLY changes fuselage shaping
@tsampoy yeah. I prefer SR2's UI since you use arrows to drag parts where you want them to go, instead of having to use confusing keyboard binds.
Shaping fuselages in SR2 is also much easier and faster.
But after seeing Mikoyanster's video, I decided I'll give SP a second chance
There is a nudging UI, but yeah, no tinker panel sadly. The closest you can get to the SR2 tinker panel is overload XML modding
Oh yeah ik @HSH
@xboxseriesx no, tinker panel
Afaik overload doesn't even exist in sr2
@HSH you mean overload right
@xboxseriesx basically a thing you use that can make crafts lighter without removing parts or fuel, reduce size without making the object smaller in terms of capacity (so the part's performance/amount of fuel it can take stays the same), reduce drag on parts, etc.
It's kinda like cheating with physics
What is tinker panel
The user interface of SimplePlanes is kind of unorthodox, but it just takes getting used to. The best way to get used to it is to just build with it a lot.
@TriStar ooh okay
We don’t have tinker panel, that’s true...
But what we do have is Overload, which is much nicer and it’s available on SR2 too
