I've noticed a problem with a lot of planes on this site that I thought I might talk about. A lot of builds use fuselages for the canopy, and its color has a huge impact on the quality of the build. The one color that can instantly lower the quality of a build is light blue.
Light blue almost 100% of the time doesn't look right. It takes your attention away from the rest of a build, and real glass usually isn't neon blue.
Instead, use darker colors like dark blue or dark purple. These look much more natural and don't take your attention away from the rest of the build.
Of course, there are some exceptions for this, but most of the time, light blue only hurts a build.
@Potato21 Gold cockpits, here's an example https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/nvm67c/F-A-37-Queen-Bee
If you're going for realism, gold cockpits are still possible, it seems like earlier F-22 models had a golden cockpit that was very visible compared to new ones, the color was because of a stealth coating I believe. Either they changed it to a different coating that looks less gold, or it looks different with different cameras, idk.
Making a canopy with transparent glass solves this problem altogether
I mean more of a neon cyan, I’m also going to work on the canopy a bit too, I built this in like 2 hours lol @Kittyhawk909
So first off, light blue is the closest thing to translucent. Second alot of builds haven't been converted to 1.11. Third I think who ever built that Helicopter needs to focus on canopy form before worrying about color.
Gold shiny for F-22
but i usually use Light blue that is tuned down till almost white and make smoothness 100%

I personally use #446677 with full Gloss and Metallicness, it looks stunning for glass parts!

Gold is underrated
