Weekly update#2
Ok, things have been going well, I have been conducting aerodynamic experiments and experiments with acceleration forces
The Vulcan project is going ok, except I find myself at a servere disadvantage on IOS as I cannot edit the XML!
I would like to build it as a co op with some other builders, some have already been entered in building it, as I think if we do it as a community it will be the best as different styles will be incorporated thus creating a more life like Vulcan,
Unfortunately we do not yet have anyone who can mod the XML
and that would be very helpful and useful seeing as it's a rather large plane,
If we get a modder who is willing to spend ages modding things for this project (that has a deadline of the 30th of December)
Then it would be incredibly amazing!
As we cannot do it without someone who can edit the XML in some kind of advanced way!
I also take time to give out a suggestion for a new feature
MORE WAYS TO EDIT BLOCKS SO XML IS NOT NEEDED! AND SO MOBILE BUILDERS CAN ACTUALY MAKE THINGS THAT LOOK DECENT COMPARED TO THE THINGS THE PC GUYS MAKE!
I also would like to say,
Ever since the fuselage block, the planes on the site have become incredibly boring they always look plain and characterless unlike the wing planes that we built back in the day,
So I'd like,to see more planes built with wing pieces like the old,ones
Anyways...
@XVIindustries Agreed
Yes, and they were incredibly difficult and fiddly to build and get them to fly, we lost a valuable skill with the addition of fuselage blocks, the skill of proper craftsmanship @bobthetitan123 @ProKillaV12
@ProKillaV12 Before the 1.2 update, there weren't fuselage pieces so some users made highly detailed planes using wings. Just look at PlanesOfOld’s planes. Those are some really good examples of highly detailed planes made of wings.
Oh so a plane with wings lol@XVIindustries
@ProKillaV12 https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/XOcFj4/B-W-seaplane
Seriously? @ProKillaV12
Whats wing planes lol
@XVIindustries yeah, the PC one has the option to move parts by tiny increments with the number pad, and it totally ignores snapping to specific points while still retaining a functional connection between the parts. You can clip stuff or even leave open air between parts, it's amazing
Nudge function? @Skua
Having just started using the PC version, even just having the nudge function would solve 90% of the problems that mobile users face
Yep @JovianPat
We need more attach points on the wings, just like fuselage blocks.
i would be happy to donate my xml editing computer for any hacks you need. (just now wheels... i hate doing wheels)
