As of this post I'm still developing some sort of overall story, but I have decided to post what I have so far before going more in depth. I'm kinda new at this so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

After the Third World War (1984-1991) many nations
found themselves with significantly weakened militaries most notably Russia, China, and the United States (to an extent). During the post war period people, mostly in Europe, where angry with their governments for allowing another global conflict to ravage their homes. This resulted in numerous civil wars and uprisings throughout the continent, and the creation of multiple private military corporations to replace the militaries of their country. Although they started small a few became their own super powers. The most powerful and influential is the FMC. Founded in 1983 and based in the Federal Republic of Deutchsland, FMC (Friedrich Manufacturing Corporation) started out manufacturing components to military machines seized from the former militaries throughout Europe. In 2002 the FMC had begun to militarize since by that time they had the means and man power to grow their own military. The Second most powerful yet not as influential corporation is ATLAS. ATLAS began as a security contractor turned PMC based in Michigan. in 1989 ATLAS had partnered with a up and coming military technology company Günther and Häwke when they both realized the potential threat of the FMC. Together they began building up their own army in 2003. In 2012 the FMC had "declared" war on ATLAS by launching a surprise attack on one of ATLAS's air bases near San Francisco. The conflict started in 2015 and fighting was limited to sporadic skirmishes until 2018 when large scale battles began erupting. As of 2021 this conflict is still raging on.
