I came up with an awesome idea. Copycats planes don't get removed, instead if we upvote them the original builder gets the points and the copycat doesn't have any added. Maybe we could have a wall of shame, where "your" plane would be for a week if you get caught copying.
@BardofBricks Yeah, like I said, it's pretty rare these days.
@XVIindustries True. Plus everyone started hating on anyone who copied their plane, modifications or not.
@NovaTopaz it was lost because people started to abuse the mechanic
Perfect idea @XVIindustries Hahahahahaha
@ThePlaneModifier Hey, making modifications to planes used to be a good thing. I did that with someone else's plane, way back when SP wasn't released to the general public yet. That plane also had one of the first very crude forms of thrust vectoring. It's actually kinda sad that these days, most people don't do it anymore. It's a very much a long lost tradition. So you can continue what you are doing. In fact, it should be more encouraged. But the copy cats and etc... well, yeah. I really hope that it can possibly be rekindled, as doing it was actually kinda fun. It really encourages people to 'think outside the box', so to speak.
Ok. I can see how that would work. I just don't want my planes shunned.
Yes@XVIindustries
That's not an exact copy. Once we report as a copy, the mods put it on the wall of shame and the points go to the original user@ThePlaneModifier
Problem: I take planes and make some adjustments and changes than repost them. This idea would make a lot of my ideas and changes loose a lot of credit. It would have to look at other things as well like maybe number of blocks or total weight and fuel. It would need some adjustments.
How about some of these
That would work much more sweetly >:3
