Auto turret spreadsheet link

122k asteroidbook345  3.7 years ago

I had permission from Nagisa to post this.
Link to spreadsheet
Make a copy of it for yourself and use it to make your own turrets. If possible, don't redistribute it, but I know that would defeat the purpose of sharing it. I want to still respect Nagisa's work.
I used this spreadsheet for the turrets on my P4M. If you need advice on the setup, don't hesitate to ask.

For users who are used to using international (1.000,5) notation, this uses American notation (1,000.5).

It's a complicated system. Basically just input the coordinates of the cockpit and turret (gun is ok on larger builds but use the rotators themselves for more accurate y values on smaller ones) and calculates it. Use the dorsal turret code for turrets with the turning rotator on the bottom and the elevation one on the side. For doing the range, do 180 to -180 for full range ones and use the turret starting position for which direction you want the turret to face when you load into the game. Also, you should always set the range to 1 degree for all rotators using the code.

@pg821 set the orientation to 180 so it can work facing back

Ok so should I get rid of the old rotator? @asteroidbook345

    3.7 years ago

@ChrisPy the normal one you’d use to tweak the rotator settings and isn’t overload

@asteroidbook345 yeah its set to 1 degree with 10 degrees and .1 range. wdym by default settings menu

@ChrisPy If you went into the default settings menu after it may have broken it. Always set the range to 1 degree for all rotators and only use overload to add codes and change speed.

@ChrisPy he’s just sent me a new link so I’m going to update it. You can toggle the gravity calculation.

No I think that’s just for leading the target bc I don’t see a gravity constant anywhere @asteroidbook345

@ChrisPy I thought it worked with cannons, hence the muzzle velocity input but I may be wrong.

@asteroidbook345 grr guess ill just put a CIWS on my build. I really wanted to have my m242 bushmaster autocannon

@ChrisPy his old one did compensate for gravity so I guess you have to use guns

@ChrisPy I’m not sure. I don’t remember if there’s an option to do it with gravity, he said he was working on it before deleting his discord and stuff

@X4JB ok bro you need to chill. He's just trying to share stuff that Nagisa deleted. He gave credit so there's no need to freak out
