Heres the scene/assets
So I don't know anything about scripts and I don't think I can learn unity script stuff so I decided to ask you, fine humans, to help make switches/points/junctions for me!
What I want is to be able to click a toggle button/lever near the and switch the direction. like this:
(the lever is clickable) game is rolling line.
So I just want the visible mesh to stay the same when I click the button just the colliders to translate when I click the button. like these:
Please send me the assets folder after saving so I can Import it to my map:)
Heres the scene/assets again

Here's a screenshots of the engine for the map:
@scratch yup, I watched it. That was a creative idea, I haven't thought of using magnets.
For the gauge of the colliders, maybe it can be the same as mine (or TrainDude's railway mod, both our mods have the same gauge) so that those trains that were made prior to the new mod can still be compatible. You can try download either my railway mod or TrainDude's railway mod and test out your prototype. See how it works. (but I have forgotten the track gauge of our railway mods :P)
Anyway, I'm up for any ideas or suggestions
@destroyerP That would be really cool! You should see my most recent videO
Also, what gauge will the colliders be in though? mine is 1.535m, but the visible meshes will be 1.435 (UK standard) because I had some wheel issues on the first prototypes due to being large and thin.
hey, it looks like you are on the same boat as me, kinda. I have been trying to create a railway system around the map that includes all the islands (I stopped working on it temporarily because I am dealing with real-life stuff). The map will include features like track switches and stations, and I have been running into some issues (including the switch) with the scripts created by mushroom. Unfortunately, he hasn't replied to me for a long time, so I have to rely on everything, and I am yet to learn C# programming. Luckily, I will be learning that in school by the end of this year and would have some free time by then. I would love to help you but I do not have the time and knowledge on C# just yet, I hope we can collaborate on this and merge our ideas
