Question about inlets

125k AWESOMENESS360  3.6 years ago

Is the size of a fuselage inlet directly responsible for how much air it takes in, or is it just set to something by default, and it’s size is only visual? Also, are they more effective than the traditional inlet? (the box-looking one that has an angle to it)

For reference, I’m making something that has 16 jet engines on it atm, 13 Blasto J-90’s, and 3 Blasto BFE-150’s. It will not for the life of me be satisfied with how many inlets I give it, I’ve put hundreds of massive fuselage inlets directly at the front of the craft, and still nothing. Any way I can fix this, or are inlets just retarded or something?

if the developers had added more information about the engines ... I have to calculate the power myself and publish it on the Wiki
And then I'm not sure that this is correct

The Inlets work the best for me when they are directly hooked up to the jet engines.

I'm sure I've done some stuff with drag in inlets
Should slap about 10 times more drag and see if it helps

The size is only visual I think. But they are much more effective. If the opening is over 0 it should be fine. If an engine has 0 drag they die for some reason
