This short guide will help you get into programming. It is meant for beginners who don't have any previous programming experience. Keep in mind that scratch and HTML are not considered real programming languages. I won't explain the programming itself but will give you some very useful tips, links etc.

What you'll need:

-A PC (or mac) with an OS from 2010 or later
-Patience
-A therapist

Learn C

This guide will use C. To get started, you'll need an integrated development environment (IDE). It's just like MS Word or Google Docs, but for code.
There are many around there, but for this guide, we'll use dev-c++ because of its simplicity and also because it has a compiler built-in. A compiler is a machine that translates your code to ones and zeroes so your comp can read it. It takes in a C-source file and spits out a .exe file. download it here. Download the embarcadero devcpp version.
Run the setup. Select your theme as slate grey and the background as some dark mode thing. Your eyes will thank you. Next, you'll need a real guide. you can find and download one for free here on wikibooks I've used this one to learn C myself. I'd also suggest if you have an e-reader put the ebook on it. That way your eyes will get less tired while reading it.
