And so!
I'm about to complete my super heavy tank as of early 1960.
I want to say straight away that the staggered suspension, namely the suspension itself, is located outside the armoured hull in the bogies (unfortunately it is impossible to visualise), so repairs will be relatively easier when compared to the Conventional staggered suspension, where the torsions are located inside the armoured hull.
Checkerboard suspension provides an even load on the track bar, which reduces its wear, meaning it will have to be replaced less often!
- The tank's armament consists of one 120mm gun (KwK 58 12-cm L/60), one 15mm machine gun (MG-151), one 8.6x70mm machine gun (MG-60) on the turret, the machine gun has remote control and a stock of 400 rounds in a single gun magazine.
...I'll tell you the rest later, probably already in the post itself. I hope to be able to release my tank in a few days or so!
This looks great!
Your builds never cease to amaze me
Keep it up man!
Looks like E.100 Hull, Lowe suspension, and upsized T-50 (Tetro) turret.
