Cool new brake system idea

293 Engineer69  8.9 years ago

Hello everyone! I basically just joined moments ago and I'm already enjoying this amazing game so much I've made 5 planes already!

Anyways I came up with a cool new brake system that I'm experimenting with. If you want to try it out, dowload my plane called "SpriteJolt-1.0 (S-series)". So how the system works is that first you activate all engines with group 1 and 2. Then you use the VTOL slider to rotate the top brake engine so that it points backwards. After you've flown for a while (and probably crashed), it's time for the landing. Line up your plane to the landing strip and turn off group 2 (main engines). Lower your throttle to >10 and drag the VTOL slider so that the brake engine points forwards. Now turn on full power and make contact with the landing strip. The engine will slow you down to a halt quite quickly, but the quickest way to stop is to bring down the throttle completely and brake with the wheels and air brakes at the same time the brake engine is being turned off.

The main idea is to create a new, faster way of slowing down your craft after it has landed.
Anyways, thanks for reading (Even if you didn't read all of it). Tell me if you are wondering about anything in the comments.

@Engineer69 I managed to take off backwards without modding it! Crashed pretty soon afterwards, of course, but it still counts hahaha

Yeah, but I've already tried that. Sadly the one engine that can turn backwards does not generate enogh power to create lift@Skua

Could be pretty useful for anyone struggling with the challenge to land on the USS Tiny. Also I want to try and fly it backwards with this
