Like the title, is it possible to have the throttle on screen stick an actually throttle that controls how much throttle being applied, rather than to which way you move the throttle?

I'm been trying to design some realistic VTOLs but this wired throttle control literally fights with every piece of my helicopter flight experience, it makes vertical take off and landing unnecessarily complex and counter-productive, it has no reason to be like this :(
