Its may 25th 1967 and a squadron of xp-50s buzz above dozens of hills "we're one mile away!" Says the lead aircraft, piloted by experienced pilot george A. Williams and his gunner david J. Joseph. Fly closer and closer to their destenation, an enemy harbor they're getting ready to be the spear head of whats known today as "the greatest raid in history" the two other xp-50s peel off of the leading xp-50 to attack the enemy carriers, once they reach the harbor they started shooting and dropping small 19 pound bombs above carriers, and with aircraft burning on the airfield the japanese have nowbere to run, slowly but surely the harbor becomes covered in crators and fire, the xp-50s start to regroup "did we do it?"the 2nd xp-50 asks nervously george takes a long pause and looks at the airfrield,"[beep] yeah we did!" As they all rejoice a fighter is able to take off and hunt them down, a "kevin" starts hunting them down, and as the kevin sneaks up on them, gunshots start as the kevin starts firing and hit the wing of the 3rd xp-50, "we're hit! We have to bail!" At the final word exits the 3rd xp-50 pilots mouth the wing burns off and they where never seen again, back on the leading xp-50 the kevin has been shot down but not without bringing another xp-50 down with them the 2nd xp-50 is hit in the engine causing it to glide, williams starts to slow down to the pace of the now struck xp-50, williams starts to think of what to do, and he has an idea, his gunner has a rope with a hook on it for incase of emergency when the xp-50 may need it, william has the idea of hooking it onto the struck xp-50 and towing it back home, but with the nearest allied airfield 4 miles away william chooses to save his comrade and asks the gunner to tie the hook to the tail and the gunner did so, and since the xp-50 was a slow but steady aircraft it was really easy to hook onto the struck xp-50, now these aircraft are known to be tough and the company even claims that a single xp-50 could carry another one on its back, they start to celebrate in excitement as the xp-50 holds up, together both xp-50s pitch up and gain more altitude now at 2 miles away and the dive bombers being at 8,400 feet up the brave pilots decide to descend slowly as they start to see the airfield, while the ground crew start looking in amazement, general Jeffrey T. Danielle is ready to greet them when he realizes whats happening, the xp-50s in two slowly glide down and land, as williams gets out of the aircraft he lets off a sigh of relief knowing he was able to save one of his fellow airmen, later that day william was awarded a medal for his bravery, to this day a memorial of the amazing feat exists in the william arnold airport in south america.
