(DISCLAIMER) Any names or further coincidences are merely coincidences and NONE of them refer to real people, or real things in general, THIS IS FICTION!

Hello Reader,

Today I have uhh... something I need to get out of my head, I guess.

CHAPTER 1# 10/29/1993

So, I should start this off by saying that my name is David Wilder, I am a helicopter pilot for the
United States Coast Guard, and I've been flying since the 1980's.

So, it was around 9 to 10 pm when Wright Isles HQ received a distress signal from a Destroyer. And even though the Iron Curtin had fallen a few years ago, even a destroyer slipping from our grasp is still a credible concern. So for us at the coast guard, that kind of distress signal is a very, VERY big deal...

Anyway, the distress signal was short, a mere SOS
(• • • - - - • • •) and lucky as it may be, I was sent to investigate the area the signal was received from. So I got in my helicopter, she wasn't anything special, just a MH-60T Jayhawk, I named her after one of my cousins Mary. Anyway, I took off

CHAPTER 2# 10/29/1993

The helicopter was up by 10:56 pm, the destination wasn't far, only 40-50 miles due northwest, and the MH-60T is pretty fast.

I thought this would be a normal "Are we lost?" situation, little did I know, I was terribly, horribly, wrong...

The helicopter was preforming almost perfectly, not surprising, this bird is particularly new to the Blackhawk family, but notheless, nature was sparing me the trouble anyways.

And so, I approached...

CHAPTER 3# 10/29/1993

So, I got close before moving to the infrared camera
Around 3-2 miles out and... already I noticed something odd, the heat signature matched none of the ships in my textbook, I mean it looked like the engine was working, it WAS moving after all.

I loitered around the vessel and advised it of my presence...

(David)"Unidentified Vessel, this is Ciera, Gulf, Hotel, 3, 5, 1, 1, How Copy?"

(Destroyer) No Response

(David)"Again, this is Ciera, Gulf, Hotel, 3, 5, 1, 1, Respond, Over."

(Destroyer) No Response

At this point, the captain wasn't giving me a choice, I came closer to the ship.

Closer,

Closer,

I was 0.5 miles out when I saw....

CHAPTER 4 "10/30/1993

This...

If you can't tell what this is, I'll describe it as best I can...

So, what you are seeing, is a Destroyer, covered in red veins. Yes, veins...

Reason I call them that is because I swear I saw them pulsate... anyway, at the time, I had NO explanation for this so almost as soon as I had come, I left when I landed, I was stumbling out of the helicopter, the sight had LITERALLY shocked me when the Maintenance crew came and asked if everything was alright, all I said was, "Check the footage". I resigned a year after, since I had heard that something had happened to my cousin Jack, I have no explanation for what I saw that day, all I knew was, I didn't like what I found...
