𝓗𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓸!

So before I start here I would just like to thank everybody who entered as this is my first challenge of this caliber. Here I will announce the top three entries as well as grading the top 10 on my quality scale. I will give the top three a paragraph review each outlining my view of the build as well as a mix of what I liked and thought needed work on the build. Anyway enough stalling lets get wo what you are here for!

𝓝𝓾𝓶𝓫𝓮𝓻 3!

Semedian Swanson DAND140-100 "Northrop Dream"

This was an interesting one, an early jet powered flying wing. This strikes me as a concept aircraft designed in the proper time period and it boasts the evidence of its qualification as a vintage aircraft. It features early turbojet engines and a ludicrous design only the 50s could produce! This made it on to my top 3 for its abundance of funky tree features such as its very interesting autopilot and autothrottle. Ultimately though it gets number 3 because I found the paneling somewhat basic and blobby at times. She aint as smooth as I would like her to be plus her gear have no gear doors. aside from my little nitpicks with the construction she flies like a big tailless wing design as she should although at times I would like if she was a tad bit faster in the roll. Either way good gob @SemedianIndustries thanks for entering and enjoy your reward!

RJ Rotovator 5.4

Well this one caught me off guard! I really didn't expect to see this specific type of airliner but it sure does count! This is a cute little rotodyne spinoff and doesn't look half bad. The paneling is basic but clean which I can really appreciate. The form is well done with no obvious panel lines or gaps. The gear are also well done along with the cheeky little British Airways livery. I especially love the little cabin and boarding ramp, I feel it was a missed opportunity to not put cameras in there! The reason this one comes in at 2 is because of the flight model of which I felt wasn't really accurate to what I expected from such a craft. She feels way to light to the touch and I am bothered by the rotors not being independently controlled from the forward prop engines. This means that she ends up as more of a STOL than a VTOL. Now while the rotodyne was also limited in its VTOL capability it could at least hover in place during takeoff and landing. On top of that the real rotodyne was more like a big gyrocopter with tip jets spinning its main rotor as opposed to an engine powering a contra rotating rotor assembly. Regardless of that I think your design would still definitely work, I just don't like the way its control is set up. Excellent work chap! you have earned a juicy 15 upvote reward!

Curtiss AT-32C Condor II

I really enjoy this plane... I just like it. It flies very well and feels like a very large docile biplane. The speeds seem to line up and it performs pretty well to spec. The paneling is not perfect but it is still quite nice given the shapes you had to deal with. The only part I can criticize is the wonky dip in the curve of the nose but that is a very easy fix. The cockpit is simple but nice with working dials and such although if you could have put cameras in the actual seats that would have been just that bit nicer. The gear are very smooth which idk if it is accurate but I like it regardless. The livery is nice as well with the little eastern airlines logo to tie it all off. I feel that some opening doors would have been nice but that's just the crazy detail demon in the back of my head talking. You did a very good job here and made a pretty awesome little replica! Enjoy top spot my guy and keep on building!

Oh and fun fact @Thecatbaron the landing gear is accurate. Blueprints were hard to find but I managed to piece it together and find out where the oleo strut was and where the pivot points were for the struts.

Fake news, my 15% finished Tu-154 isn't the winner.
