Sound is important when it comes to having a good feel to a vehicle. The gauge part is AWESOME and I’m definitely going to make more cars from now on! But I know me and my friends have been wanting the car engine sound since it came out lol.
Hey devs… could you maybe… ya know… give the engine a new noise while you’re at it?

@KnightOfRen every time you here it spin it up the PTSD returns huh lmao
@WolfSpark Lmfao
@KnightOfRen helicopter rotor sounds like a dying stairlift
The SP engine sounds like a dentists drill, change my mind
The suggestions post is here
What happened to different cannon sounds??
@WolfSpark
.
Impossible with the design of SP systems--also file uploading by users en masse is generally a bad idea.
.
A tone generator is possible and a mod implementation already exists, so that sounds more likely.
It would certainly be more convenient than having to use a barely reliable FT prop engine that goes past normal RPM’s, making slightly probable engine sounds.
If you set your volume to max you won’t be worrying about what sound the engine makes, just how much if it there is
I fourth this absolutely.
I know, this sounds like a stupid idea, but how about just a custom sound generator...?
No, not a noteblock, custom file
I’m tired of having to use magnets as horns, magnets and vtol engines as steam locomotive sounds, winch as a stall horn, etc etc. it’s annoying. I agree, now engine sounds would be cool, but how about just a new FT function to mute the engine to combine with a custom uploadable sound block?
no, not a mod for Christ sake
The immersion in SP is seriously lacking ngl
It'd be cool if sounds were different in cockpit view and optional for cameras so it would sound like you're inside the interior while flying
I absolutely second this. There should be a part or input that actually changes sounds for certain stuff. I.e a sound block so blue notes can be a thing in-game
Oh and of course current sounds suck, like jets are quiet as hell even though when you fly past one you barely hear it, very unlike irl
One thing that would be good to help this would be (like i said earlier) a sound part or input section for engines that allows for mp3s to be used to for the engine sound. That way we can get props that don't sound like they're at full throttle when they're idle and not even spinning
