Here's the thing...
This car has realistic 3-link solid axle front and rear suspension. Now the thing with this suspension is literally every joint in this suspension has to be some kind of ball joint, and there's a hecc-load of them too. Because ball joints have to be made out of either 2 hinge rotators, or two hinge rotators and a normal rotator stacked on top of each other, this is unfortunately causing the suspension of this car to be very floppy, especially when the car is scaled down to 1:1. The suspension alone weighs 6 tones, and has over 250 parts for each axle.
Until ball joint rotators are added to this game, which may or may not be in this update (I have no idea but I'm gonna put chances on 35%), there is no fix for this.
Still, as of now, this car is essentially complete as to what I can build in the current version of the game. At this scale, which is about 1.7:1, the suspension functions okay (not perfect, but it's good enough and is very stable) and apart ball joints, and maybe lights that produce light and semi-hollow fuselage glass for the windshield, there's nothing else in the update that will enhance this car any more.
So yeah. What do you think I should do?
anyway here are some pics :)
Aaaaaaaaaand maybe I should tell you a little about the car :)
It's called the Scout Weka, I've tried to make it look like it was produced from around 1994-1997 (Note the late 1995 NZ number plate) and is based on a lot of cars from around that era. Especially the Toyota Landcruiser and Isuzu Bighorn.
It has a lot of innovative features for SP in this, such as an engine that actually has a torque curve and 4 automatically shifting gears, and also has a functioning 4x4 and low range with gear levers that move accordingly, it has windows that wind down and curve smoothly into the doors, and it has a fully functional gauge cluster, and a fully detailed chassis, engine bay, suspension and drive train. And a smaller thing, with many of the lights, the whole light lights up when you switch them on, as well as the according stalks and switches moving in the interior.
This is my most detailed build by a really long shot. It has over 3,300 parts, of which very few are from artificially inflated stuff like logos... unlike my Kitfox. XDD
Okay plz state your opinion kthxbye
Right hand drive 😍
@WNP78 I dunno, there's a bunch of things I wanna do with this using the things in the update, and there's no essential bits that could be replaced by fuselage cutouts, but there are a lot of places where they will be really useful. I think I actually might wait it out, despite what people are saying here lol :)
My phone will lag as hell with this
Upload now before it’s obsolete
I should do the same with my builds
Release now! Even if i cant download.
release wen
N O W
I'd just go for it now, you'll probably want to start anew after the update with the latest blog post
Wait for the update.
After, Incase there’s a really cool instrument part that you may want to use
Dang over 3000 parts..Do pls. If you publish it do also a
suspesion only..engine wheels and fuel
the very basic things car needs to function. Barebones type if you will..for some totest it
. Been workin on my own version of FTenginecode and got stuck on bugs and would love to experience what you guys come up with and working around the limitation of SP.@jamesPLANESii ok
@jamesPLANESii I agree
@BryanO5 I think the gauges I have already are better than the ones the update will offer
After the update, so you can put gauges and some other needed things
