Idk how many people have suggested this but

please, please, please, make the engine governor of the props/rotors input linkable. It irks me that the engine rpm is still managed automatically with no option for user input. :(

    @Beefy
    lol
    I think that will not lower the prop rpm by any mean, it tell the prop when to break instead.

    @GuyFolk i tried adding an ft control on the maxRpm setting, it broke the sanity of the propeller xD

    @Beefy
    I see, rpm can be accessed only via xml so that'll be nice if we can configurate it in menu.
    I don't know if we can set the propeller rpm irl but I think max rpm in game was treated as maximum rpm that will not break the propeller.

    @GuyFolk that's the point papi, plus a Governor Type setting.

    Governor Type
    Fixed (a slider appears that lets you set rpm)
    Manual (two sliders appear, sets min and max, plus one button for input type)

    I'm not sure if this is what you looking for but I you have throttle and propeller pitch assign to separate control by setting pitch control to manual and then set throttle governor to disable in prop menu, throttle control engine power and VTOL control propeller pitch by default.
    From there I can get my prop to overspeed and eventually break by simply going max throttle and 0 degrees pitch.
    Or I can go max propeller pitch and full throttle at low rpm and the prop can't get rpm due to too much drag, it need to rev up the rpm to get the momentum going.
    Same goes to heli blades as well.
    .
    .
    Or am I just miss your point completely lol.

    You can.. sort of. You could probably do something with funky trees for the prop pitch input, but the prop physics in SP are pure garbage and you might as well just set it to fixed pitch.

    Also engine sound directly tied to rpm too, when I set the max rpm to 12,000 in overload, it should sound more like a an F1 car, not a slow Cessna revving to 2800, despite it actually being 12krpm

    This would definitely improve props, Bush Plane creators coughjamesplanesiicough would be in heaven.
