About SpVR

14.8k BSKPlays2009  3.3 years ago

So yeah spvr is getting released and sadly most of the players don't have vr
So I hope the add controls with mouse and keyboard and maybe also the ability to walk in spvr and even hold weapons
So who ever agrees with me write down in the comments

The Oculus quest 2 headset needs you to log into facebook to use it. The continuous tracking cameras on it mean that you are giving facebook a continuous feed of your surroundings every time you use it. I know there is no such thing as privacy any more but geez they could at least pretend.

@jamesPLANESii a quest 2 128 gb is around 300 US, translating to about 435 NZ. So they are charging a little more than double where your at. What sites are you looking on? As I am sure you can order directly from the Oculus website.

The 256 gig version is a bit more expensive in the US, I haven't checked but it's around 400USD

[EDIT]: price has been upped to 650USD due to low stock/high demand

@AndrewGarrison Wait you can get them for US$299? Gee the cheapest one I found was NZ$699, which is like US$500, and that was after quite a long time searching...
Most Quest 2s are around NZ$900...

If you take SPVR, take off the VR headset, and add keyboard controls, you have a game called SimplePlanes. You already have SimplePlanes, right now!

@jamesPLANESii I would recommend the Oculus Quest 2. It's $299 and you can plug it into your computer with a USB-C cable and play VR games from your PC. It also supports Oculus Air Link so you can wirelessly stream games from your PC and of course it supports standalone Quest games when you don't have access to your PC. Another nice thing about it is that it uses inside-out tracking, so you don't need to plug in external sensors and place them around your room.

what's the point of making spvr compatible with non-vr users? it literally has no more content than the regular SP
