F-14A Tomcat Development Report

alright because everyones making a tomcat now i guess ill show mine off then lmao

also the introduction to the cardboard series of aircraft im conjuring up. the tomcat will be the only fully detailed model as i am just a single person and it will take a monumental amount of time tuning everything else up and putting it all together. depending on what we get in the update thats coming soon this will probably take me until next summer or later to fully complete.

some details

again depending on what the 1.11 update comes with, the cardboard tomcat will ship with a fully modeled and interactable front seat cockpit, that of the early block 135 a-model. the rio seat & cockpit will not be included as that would be an extra year of development time added on- though one or a few necessary systems operated by the rear seat will be automated (navigation stuff etc). some systems in the tomcat unfortunately will not be included as there is no way of simulating it within the limits of simpleplanes. other systems will have to be altered in some way for the same reason, and for the fact i dont want the cockpit to be clunky in the way things function.

the cardboard f-14 will come with a full startup, and will simulate onboard systems like that for navigation, central air data computer, pilot weapon controls, as well as physical simulations of dynamic thrust and compressor stalls of the tf30 engines.

now if you are under the age of 14 and/or have the attention span of a samsung note 7 battery, fret not. simplified versions of the tomcat will become available following the release of the fully modeled aircraft. it will retain a few systems, while others will be simplified, automated, or removed.

more information on the cardboard tomcat will become available in the coming months, as well as tutorial videos and a full manual will come with the release. for now though, i will leave you with the rest of the screenshots i have for this forum.

i am open to a couple questions as well. go ham.
