Majority of Simpleplanes's tank community mainly PC users I think would move to Sprocket, this might negatively affect the effectiveness of SP's tank community in terms of how many designs or replicas are being posted.
However if 90% of PC tank builders in SP's community were to move, us mobile tank builders are here to stay, as currently SP is the best platform for constructing tanks and other stuff in mobile.
Good news for the tank community though! Winterro discovered how to force aggressive bots to use their cannons, this meant that we could have some form of ground combat in SP, I'm sure you could understand how much potential this has.
After experimenting a bit about it myself, it seems like bots will continuously fire their cannon if a missile is launched/in the air, however I still only did minimal experimentation with it and there is still alot to discover, you can experiment about it yourself!
Yes! This means that we could have enemy tanks that actually fire back, and this along with modified parts for realistic damage model will be the closest thing we would have to Warthunder or World of tanks.
How do the ai for the enemy tanks work? Because I would like to make some of my own!
ill get sprocket of course but im still going to make tanks in MP, specially since i have the ability to have fun in MP tank battles
can sprocket do MP tank battles with 500 ping and wierd crafts flying around?
yeah i didn't think so
I Agree as I am not very satisfied with sprocket as 1: I think 60% of the sprocket community bought the game for memes
2: It doesn't have the feeling of "progress" that building tanks in SP, because on SP you BUILD the part. (apart from some games that are amazing in other areas, like KSP)
@make42168 I still have many more requests to finish, and i still haven't started yet. (except for saturnbuildsstuff's wmbt)
I dare you to build a T90MS tank in simpleplanes
Once sprocket comes out with more features, then this will probably really become true. Only thing I wish for is an official track part in SP for us mobile only bums
@VolcanicAsh Technically anyone can attempt to make a modern day tank in sprocket, but definitely not have as much options as SP in terms of model making, though SP requires more experience.
