19 new NKPRR passenger coaches arrive at Tauro'a. Selena Wright is now reporting from Tauro'a, New Keewatin.
Today, 19 passenger cars and 6 dining cars arrived at Southwest Tauro'a Maritime Cargo and Passenger Terminal. The coaches, made by ICF for export in India, will be used on Northeast Krakabloan Pacific Railroad for their Sunlight Express and Moon and Star Express intercity service for Economy A/C passengers. The purchase for the coaches was funded by State Railways of Krakabloa and the Two Countries, One Goal program by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs for Krakabloa's relations with India and Russia. The passenger cars will seat more passengers than the locally made 8D Business Recliner and Economy A/C seater coaches made by Krakabloan Locomotive Coach Manufacturing.

The coaches are modified versions of Indian Railways' sleeper coaches. The coaches will seat 48 each coach in a train set, has male and female restrooms in each end of the coaches, beside the restrooms there are priority seating for disabled persons and seating for train attendants. It can go up to 150 km/h. The coaches also has information screens in the cabin, with speedometer, clock, temperature check, weather, destination info, distance, and number of passengers in the current train. The seating configuration is 3 seats in the right side while the aisle is in the left side. The coaches were ordered in late 2020 at the price of 389 million Kraks ($5.3 billion). According to SRK's statement, it will order more 35 ICF coaches for NKPRR intercity services scheduled for delivery in mid 2022. The delivery and arrival was conducted from 21 September until today afternoon, with numerous NKPRR and SRK exceutives and Democratic Transportation Ministry officials in the port for arrival ceremonies with Secretary for Cargo and Passenger Railways Matthew Adaikau while the activity's Holy Mass and christening of the coaches are conducted by Rev. Fr. Luke Kirakiwi from the Archdiocese of Tauro'a. After the ceremony, the coaches were hauled by GE U10B Class 230P and Type 77-111 diesel locomotives (234 and 548) as Delivery Haul Trip 473 to a workshop in Tarpley, Lenin Islands and will begin normal operations on Monday for preparations on the 18th Independence Day and Uprising Victory Day on October 29.
