liftScale is an incredibly useful new XML variable added for wing parts. Finally, we can just punch in a number to get big lifting wings instead of scaling it down to microscopic levels. Also, we can now properly simulate wings of various thickness.
However, it would be even better if we can somehow alter liftScale through funky tree. Then, it would be possible to properly simulate high lift devices, like fowler flap or slotted flap, that only add huge amounts of lift when deployed. There are other possibilities, but I can't think of them right now.
Since I don't see the wing parts being overhauled anytime soon, I figured that making liftScale funky tree enabled would be a nice alternative.
@TheMouse I love this person's EP craft, but they've been gone for ages.
@Graingy
?
Face me, coward.
Imagine the possibilities with fuselage block dimensions being funky tree enabled
This would save us a lot of trouble with the default wing part going up and down when maneuvering in high speeds
Also add forum spotlighting. All of SimplePlanes needs to hear about this.
This is ingenious!! I agree with your idea
