I recently started making an Su-30 and since I remember some people asking for one, here's a quick picture.
More specifically, it is the first variant of the Su-30 Flanker-C, otherwise known as the Su-27PU. (Punkt Upravlenija, "Control Point" or Perechvatcik Uchebnyj, "Interceptor Trainer")
As for new custom weapons, I plan on adding the R-77 Adder, R-27ER Alamo-C, KAB-500Kr, Kh-29T Kedge-B, and the Kh-31A Krypton. I'm having trouble trying to find images to for inspiration for loadout configurations, but I want my air to air loadout to look something like this: 4x R-73 and R-77 on the wings and 4x R-27ER in the middle.
And no, this is NOT the one from an ancient screenshot that was on my profile:
And technically, that wasn't a Su-30. It was an Su-27UB all along. >:)
Anyways, that build wasn't up to spec, so I decided to make a new one entirely rather than modifying it.
Next time do X-02 Strike Wyvern Please :)
@ReinMcDeer it would.
@ThatKindaWeeb Technically, it would be pretty easy to do the conversion :v
If you make the SU-33 I'll add something to it. I'm not gonna tell you what tho. >:)
I hope I haven't lost credibility yet ;-;
@ReinMcDeer
@ReinMcDeer that's understandable, it could create unnecessary stress.
@Korzalerke Nope, but it makes sense aerodynamically. Since the vertical stabilizers are at an angle, their control surfaces act like elevators when they move inward.
This is actually how the YF-23's elevators work.
If anything it makes you turn slightly faster :P
@ReinMcDeer I have a question: when you brake with your f-22, the vertical stabilizers move inward, causing the plane to pitch up. Is that intentional?
@AvalonIndustries I actually do have a spreadsheet for myself, but I've been debating on releasing it since I don't want to feel obligated to have to make every plane on the list or get bogged down by people asking when they're going to made.
@Alvin784 It's not out yet? If you're curious, the plane itself is mostly done, but I need to make the weapons.
@ReinMcDeer when did you
release this good and beautiful plane?
Hey dude, just a suggestion, but i think it would be cool if you put a roadmap on your planned builds.
@ReinMcDeer A F-35C, i don't really mind if it takes a while. The reason being: most people want the STOVL (F-35B) variant so you don't see this one much. It's the nicest looking version of the plane in my opinion, with the larger, folding wings and all.
@Korzalerke And it is... ?
P.S. I usually take forever to do requests, if I do them at all.
I prioritize aircraft in my personal queue first
@ReinMcDeer I have a request for you to make after the Su-30, if you're fine with it.
@ReinMcDeer
oh well, I tried.
When it comes to strike aircrafts, I don't know the optimal configuration. I studied too much about A2A and ignored A2G.
@ZeroWithSlashedO I don't think that's possible given the hardpoint compatibility. (This is for a Su-30MK2, but I imagine it should be the sameish.)
Something similiar might be 4x R-73 and 4x FAB-500 on the wings and 2x Kh-31A and 2x R-77 in the middle
T
for configs, I recommend 2 R-73s on the wingtip, 2 R-77s and 4 OFAB-100-120 on the wings, and 4 KH-31s under the fuselage
but then again, it's up to you.
