Ok, this is going to be very different from other posts, this is a fictitious war, in other words, a war made purely by a Brazilian guy who likes history.

(if you live in Guyana, if I accidentally disrespect you or your country, I'm sorry, I absolutely love your country, and would like to travel to Guyana :D)

Part 1: Causes

It all started with the discovery of a gigantic mine in Guyana with thousands of precious metals, enough to supply a country for many years. And of course with that, many countries were interested in this, and because of that, a certain suspicion was generated that an invasion would take place.

And, in 1959, there was an assault on the extraction machines, which was captured by unknown people. This created some political tension in the mine region, and many mine workers and residents thought this was on the orders of some foreign government. Spies were sent to the scene and discovered that the assault was being carried out by a group of heavily armed terrorists and that they were planning to take the power in Guyana, and thus use the mine to try to dominate most of South America.

And with these shocking discoveries, the military tried to negotiate, but without success. They planned an invasion, but it was canceled due to the risk of terrorists holding the residents of a near city (These terrorists had a small spy force that lived in the middle of towns, and watched over military exercises).

The problem is that they took too long to make decisions and the terrorists took over Guyana. And with that, they sent a warning: if France doesn't abandon French Guiana, they will make a huge terrorist attack. And with that, France had to withdraw from the country to avoid deaths (They had many priorities in Europe, like the cold war, and they were also too far away to act with the military).
