We rolled this feature out to Golds last week and Platinums the week before that, but now players with 1000+ points can update their airplane's XML on the website via the Update XML option in the dropdown menu on their airplane posts. This will make it easier to make small tweaks since you won't need to make a brand new post. Note that the images on your post will disappear for just a few minutes after you update, but that's normal and they will come back soon.
Silver players can now update their airplane XML on the website

damn i was so late to find this out...
@AndrewGarrison do you guys know what the next update will be if so can we have a hint
So nice and all but how long do you plan to update the game? I just want to know
@AndrewGarrison
This is somewhat unrelated to this specific post, and for this I apologize. However, I would simply like to bring to light the “Simple Planes Trains” community to which most of my posts are intended for (Note, I do not want any recognition for this post if this happens) I have noticed over the past two years a steady decline in posts/downloads/comments in said sub-community and I think that this is due in part to the recent updates (removal of mods from mobile.) This inability to use mods such as the railway maps is what I believe drives many players away from building trains/rail bound vehicles, I say this as it makes the use of these vehicles nearly impossible and, without any reference, leaves mobile builders with no way to test there builds. I only ask that there rather be an option to use modded maps or, that there be some sort of rail system in incorporated into the game.
Sorry for rambling and thank you for taking the time to read this.

I have been playing SimplePlanes for i while now and i love it but i have a problem with the blueprint button as when i press the button it does not allow me to access my blueprints and does nothing, if it helps i use an iphone 7 and my version is IOS 14.7.1 thank you if you have read this @AndrewGarrison
@Bellcat XML updating is really just intended for small tweaks. If you're craft's appearance changes drastically you should probably just make a new post.
@AndrewGarrison, urgent message. When XML Uploading, why won't I be able to upload new images, so the images are not up to date with the plane. I am removing one of my planes you just upvoted because it now technically breaks the rules on misleading thumbnails.
@JeskoGoesVROOM Thanks! This will be good to know in the future
yup, seems like it works on unlisteds too!
i'm not a dev but i just decided to do a quick check lol
@spefyjerbf
Can XML be updated on unlisted posts too? If so, that would save a decent amount of server space for y’all :)
YES
YES

now, how exactly do we do this? i'm guessing just uploading the xml file but i have no clue how to do that, plus if it needs google drive or something then i can't cause i don't have access to that ;–;
@KipSqueaks
In a sense, updating the XML of the build you can download to reflect the XML of the current version you possess will basically change the parts and such of the build other players can download.
(Basically, you upload something, but then make a physical change to your build afterwards. Updating the XML of the uploaded build will allow players to download the build with the change you made after uploading.)
@KipSqueaks yes, only xml
But only XML and not actual parts? @Noname918181
@EchoVehicle not yet
@AndrewGarrison heyyyyyyyy that was fast. kinda
I can see a gradual release every week. Don’t release the XML upload feature too near the deadline; otherwise the small users won’t be able to refine the curated crafts in time.
.
Also, I would highly recommend you introduce a feature to also reupload the thumbnails, so the thumbnails are up to date with the aircraft and won’t cause any troubles for moderation. :)
.
A little longer again then I can finally upload XML...
.
PS: you should pin this like before.
@KipSqueaks basically you can change your aircraft without creating a new post
yee
Woohoo!
What do you mean by updating XML?
