...and holy heck, was I thrilled... and scared.
So after some time’s passed, I’ve finally decided to go ahead and try SimplePlanes in Virtual Reality. So I booted up my Quest 2 and bought it from the store. Here’s basically what happened in the first 10 minutes:
*Loaded into the game
30 seconds in: Le Trainer pushing all the buttons she can see on the Wasp.
1 minute in: decides to push the throttle all the way.
Takes off 10 seconds later and their heart starts racing for some reason.
Spends like another 5 minutes goofing around, then tries to land on Wright Airport.
Fails about twice then starts getting motion sick despite being an actually pilot (Yes, stupid people can fly planes).
7 minutes in: Heads for the carrier.
Minute the 9th: Smacks the gear on the flight deck, the aircraft comes to a stop.
Completely amused flicks the “Arrestor hook” button and “puts their hands on the dashboard and the walls of the aircraft to make it feel more real.
Minute the 10th: Still looking around, slowly realizing that the aircraft is rolling, towards the back of the carrier so adds some throttle.*
...I added too much throttle... I was coming dangerously close to the edge of the carrier...
Tried pulling the brake, aaaand when my front wheel was about to hit the edge I found out that you have to push. I fell into the water and put my headset away as I probably got seasick in VR.
It’s great, despite sometimes touching my stomach or sometime my chair only to reach the joystick... I’m smol. ;-;
I genuinely recommend you get it if you have a headset, it’s very exciting and it feels awesome.
No video because me not good enough at building :I
@LordVader99 Nope. ^^
Did you puke ?
my first landing was on the carrier lol
XD
I’m getting lightheaded .~.
