1. Radar

Radar is a detection system that uses radio waves to determine the distance (ranging), angle, or velocity of objects. ... Radio waves (pulsed or continuous) from the transmitter reflect off the object and return to the receiver, giving information about the object's location and speed. It's uses an invisible light from 1 millimeter to 100 kilometers.

2.Lidar

Lidar is a method for determining ranges by targeting an object with a laser and measuring the time for the reflected light to return to the receiver.

Lidar sensor is an expensive way of measuring distance. If you had an iPhone 12 Pro or higher , you should use the built in lidar scanner .

Lidar's Wavelength is ranging from 905 nanometers to 1550 nanometers .

3. Electromagnetic Radiation

SKXLcX9z

Light is an electromagnetic radiation . Human can only see visible light which is only 25% of all the light that existed . Radio is just a light that has a long wave length . Light with short wavelength tend to have more energy than long wavelength . The Disadvantage of short wavelength is short range . Materials like Uranium,Plutonium produced an invisible light aka radiation . Radiation that Uranium puts out is short wavelength light that can destroy your dna and cause cancer. Gama's ray is also use to treat cancer .

4. Ultrasounds

Ultrasound is sound waves with frequencies higher than the upper audible limit of human hearing. Ultrasound is not different from "normal" sound in its physical properties, except that humans cannot hear it. This limit varies from person to person and is approximately 20 kilohertz in healthy young adults .

Ultrasounds is mostly used in Marine Application .

Sound tend to travel quicker and longer in a liquid .

Sound travels 4 to 5times faster in liquid .

@LieutenantSOT yeah, I don't know much in radio waves or whatever but hey,

And RADAR is an acronym, I recently found out
    RA-dio D-etection A-nd R-anging
    .
Anyways, sorry for nerding out lol. I love Quantum Mechanics. This post is amazing! Great explanation

    @Bobyo those are alpha particulates
    .
It's kinda like why Microwaves are technically Radio waves AND Infrared waves. They accelerate other particles, and also can transmit data in short bursts (but more data at once than Radio waves), so they are unique, but still technically Radio waves
    .
Gamma waves are dense enough to be considered particles, and are ranged in size and intensity with Alpha, Beta, and of course, Gamma. They each interact with matter differently due to their different masses and how much space they take up. Because remember, EM waves are both particulate as well as a wave. That's why light interacts with electricity and magnetic fields.
    .
So TECHNICALLY, we could in theory use gamma waves to block out signals, but it would be a better weapon than detection aide lol.

I know this doesn't exactly apply to this but I guess it fits with gamma rays
I don't know if there's more, but there are types of gamma rays. Ones to treat cancer and then there's one that can delete planets. (Gamma Ray Bursts)
