One thing that I noticed in this community is that useful information such as building techniques doesn't really get shared around that much. I see a lot of people simply say "take apart other people's builds to see how they did it", and move on. I also don't see many resources for proper advanced building techniques by looking around on this site or even on places like Reddit or Youtube.
Also, getting this out of the way quickly, I'm not a replica builder. A fair amount of tutorials I see seem catered towards replica builders than people who try to create original craft designs. As such, they say to use blueprints— which is kinda difficult if you're building something original from scratch. The idea and concept is sound, though. Maybe I should try to draw blueprints then build from using them...
With that said, can anyone share their knowledge on the type of techniques they use to build? Like building fuselages, cockpits, tips on building wings, etc? I would very much like to learn, or at least be someone to help others who have found themselves in a similar situation to me.
Now I will say a strange thing, but there is no right technique, there are so many possibilities in this game that you can even assemble the same plane from completely different parts. Also, it all depends on what exactly you want to do, there are different hints for different buildings. Therefore, yes, PointlessWhyshouldi sad correctly in the comments, look at the works of others and learn something from them for yourself, or post your work that you doubt and ask for advice. In general, poke at different buttons, try all the functions, make mistakes, think about them and in the end you will understand what you need, wish you a good journey)
@PointlessWhyshouldi That answer makes a lot of sense, actually. Thanks.
The reason why people say “ take apart other people's builds to see how they did it”
Is mainly because it’s the easiest way to explain it, the second easiest way is just building for ages and finding what works and doesn’t work.
Also, one other thing I'd like to add is that I'm willing to be an apprentice of sorts, if people want to share their firsthand knowledge with me. My Discord tag is hashu/tornait#1337.
