I tried my hand at making something that isn't a plane for once, a tank.

Instead of making the wise decision of choosing something easy to make, I decided to make the M1 Abrams, more specifically the M1IP since I found this website with Abrams blueprints for the Chrysler XM1, XM1, M1, M1IP, M1A1, and M1A2.

And I figured out the hard way why you can't spell paneling without pain. Although, I did avoid it as much as possible, per usual. The entire hull has no paneling unless you count the sideskirts.

The M1IP is essentially a M1 with a lengthened turret to accomodate better composite armor. And being an early Abrams variant, it has the rifled 105mm M68A1 rather than the smoothbore 120mm M256.

This might also be the first M1IP Abrams on the site.

Currently, it has the ability to fire both M456A2 HEATFS (High Explosive Anti Tank, Fin Stabilized) and M900 APFSDS (Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot), roughly simulated by an explosive and basic slug projectile, respectively. They also have correct muzzle velocities (According to War Thunder, at least.).

As you can see, it is still in a pretty early state, so it won't be out anytime soon.

Oh and by the way, not only is the turret of the Abrams not centered on the hull, but the turret itself is very assymetrical. The sideskirts are also not the same on each side, so there's also that.
