Simpleplanes VR steam or VR store

Okay, I’m planning to get simpleplanes VR, but I’m not sure what the difference is when you get it on steam, typically I always get stuff on steam when it comes to PC games, but I’m truly puzzled why they would have… how do I put this, one game that is technically the same on three devices, VR, PC, and portable devices.

I’ve heard that PC can give your headset’s graphics, frame rate, performance, whatever, a little boost when it comes down to more complex aircraft.

I have an Apache that I’d love to fly in and there’s a few other things that players have made that I’d like to try in VR, but I’m just not sure either to get it on steam or to get it on the VR store or whatever it’s called.

If anyone can give me some info on this and help me decide I’d be very grateful.

@Soardivision160th Yeah, platform doesn't matter for this one, but make sure to log into your simpleplanes.com account when you play for the first time. It allows you to see non-curated aircrafts and play in your own uploaded crafts. I didn't know this for about 2 weeks after I bought the game, and I was pretty excited when I found out about it.

If you don't have a VR ready gaming pc and you DO own a standalone VR headset such as the Oculus Quest 2, I would probably buy it from the oculus store, as standalone is just fine and I have had no lag problems unless I'm REALLY pushing the game to it's limits. (For example dropping bombs with ridiculously high explosive power.

If you already own the base flat screen game on steam and you buy the VR game from steam, you should be able to "transition" into VR mode to test out your aircraft for example.
