Recently, several additional parts have been created and improved, but the jet engine seems to have hardly changed.
So... I think about that and now tell about some ideas.
New engine parts
Engine intake
It similar like Fuselage Inlet, But it has an intake fan. and it can adjust size, fan amounts, fan style.
- Fan style
• Turbofan
• Turbojet
• Ramjet (Fans are disable)
• Scramjet (Disable too)
• Nothing
Fans works by InputController
.
Intake vent
It similar like Hollow Fuselage, it will be works like Fuselage Inlet. It could take the place of the engine intake when it gets air drag.
Adjustable engine
It similar like Jet engine on SR2, but this game is plane simulator. so... need more options.
- Adjustable fuel consumption
- Power Multiplier(HP)
- Time until engine power reaches 100%
- Engine sounds (like Turbofan1, Turbofan2, Turbojet1...)
- Sound Pitch
- Exhaust nozzle style
* Turbofan(curve, straight)
* Turbojet(F-35 Style, F-22 Style, SU-57 Style, etc)
* Ramjet
* Flames only
- Afterburner
- Flame color
- Exhaust haze
- Thrust Vectoring Input
* Vertical vectoring input
* Horizontal vertoring input (Disable when F-22 Style..or not working)
- Thrust input
I think this is enough. It's something I've been wanting for a long time, but now I'm writing.
Thank you for reading the long text.
prop engines in SR2 when
Yeah ig it would be cool if they also implemented that SR2 customization on jet engines as well, y'know how you can adjust bypass and etc
Would also like to see the fan blades have a "trim" for painting so we can paint the blades black-ish and the trim white, something similar to the ge90's fan blades.
I fully agree
@jamesPLANESii Ah, Props too.
Prop engines need better sounds and more options..
it also needs
1: better engine sounds
2: rocket engines, because rocket powered planes do exist.
100% agree with this, especially thrust vectoring built into the engine... heck yeah would lower part counts by a decent amount cause I used to use alot of parts to make thrustvectoring cause I didn't know how funky trees worked so I didn't bother, now I only need like 3 hinges per engine, and making it so you only need the engine would be revolutionary
Those are called thermonuclear warheads, not prop engines @jamesPLANESii
What do you mean, of course an aero engine is supposed to sound like a lawnmower and send you into orbit if it gets damaged/j @jamesPLANESii
You think the jet engines are bad? Wait till you start using prop engines...
This should’ve been addressed a few updates ago at least
I seriously think props need an update too - so that when they touch something they don’t become a nuclear bomb and instead bend or something.
PS: I forgot something, I wish there was something like "Required Air feed" in the engine options... just in case, who makes it like a rocket?
