So I think the menus inside the creater need updated, more features and more statistical visuals
So one main thing I want is to see where drag is, I know you can see drag and the more red something is the more drag is has, but I think it should have something that you can tell the number of drag it has, like having little arrows on the part so under 20 drag is 1 arrow, 40- 2 arrows, etc.
then they need a way to reset drag, so I've been having problems while building, like one half of the plane has more drag than the other, even though the sides are 100% mirrored and identical, so they need a reset drag option to center the drag more to update it or whatever.(not great at explaining things but some of yall may understand)
I think they also need to make it more noticeable where your com,cot,col, is so adding like a grid over the whole screen with the spheres still there, so you can line up exactly where you want your com,cot,col, just so you can fine tune where everything is.
Also not only to see lift, and where it's at, but like primarily where it's at, like adding under wings or above wings, and varying color (red for low lift, blue/green for high lift) depending on how much lift that section is producing
And one thing I think would be really cool but would be hard to do, is so you can test how your hinges, control surfaces, rotators, anything that moves, etc works inside the build screen, so you don't have to load into the game and then load back into builder to edit small 5° change, it can get really tedious going in and out multiple times, especially if your plane already has large part count and takes a minute to load.
Those are my main ideas for the next update, I mean I'd also be happy for a water update, submarine/boat parts but these I'd like much more, update if you agree
@V not necessarily meaning update the menu, I mean add more to statistics
Reject modernity, embrace tradition. Keep menus the same
@WormWithLegs yeah that'd be neat, but im mostly thinking of reset drag points, because as you build, the dragpoints are sometimes un-even on both sides, so the reseting makes them even
@L3thalPredator Actually an idea I have is if you opened the plane info tab it would show the drag points of the part similar to how it already shows the performance cost of the part in that menu.
@ItsHighbraker2912 \/
@WormWithLegs correct
@ItsHighbraker2912 he is not commenting on editing drag, he's saying there should be a way to see exactly how many drag points a part has other than just "how red it is"
You do realize that you can change the drag in the XML editor right?
