Some people don't think their crafts are good enough, and copy and modify other crafts into their liking. This one seems to involve little effort as they only consist of the base craft, plus a number of weapons and (possible plagriarised) attachments effortlessly slapped into said crafts with little to no color change. Those who praised the craft are either alt accounts, "everything is awesome" people, and favoritist friends that contribute to no improvement, while the more mature ones can give out constructive criticism and even point out how effortless and disrespectful this work is, and the artist who create this hard work of art may find themselves insulted by such an effortless undertaking that only serves to gain upvotes and fame. This one is an example of how the successor system can create problems that must be addressed.

If you want to make better builds, don't prioritize upvotes and gaining ranks, as they do nothing to increase your fame (take a look at the platinums with little popularity), only makes if you more likely to break the rules. Focus on the building (and playing) aspect of the game. Sometimes making art is more relaxing than meditation.

Anyway, here's my contribution to the argument: I think improving on other's builds is really important in simpleplanes. Taking something good and making it better just increases the quality of creations on simpleplanes and is just constructive in general. I have done this myself, because I'm ok at modeling but often have a tough time getting started. Thats why I often use a base and take it from there. However, I think that unconstructive builds that just tarnish the original aren't good. That's bad enough, but if the original creator/creators aren't credited, its simply stealing.

One of my favorite artists stopped making comics because his work was plagiarized everywhere.
