I just wanna say this, but people have been enraged by supposedly "destroyed" An-225.
And I think this needs to be addressed.
The An-225 is unofficially had been destroyed.
Yeah, it's unnoficial. There are no evidence of it being destroyed whatsoever, and I guess an attack on Hostomel
enough to make people believe it was destroyed.
Nevermind, I was wrong apparently. But don't worry, they'll build it again.
It isn't impossible to make one again, considering the spare parts, the blueprint, and the materials exist, it should be possible.
Though the problem is the budget. Do they have the budget?
I hope so.
It’s been on the news, the plane’s in ruins. She can be rebuilt, but the lives of those lost in this senseless war cannot.
i hope next space project need it ,and it'll be made a new again
Antonov couldn't confirm if the AN-225's damage is beyond repair at the moment so there's some hopes that the plane survived the attack
@SheriffHackdogMCPE
C-5 is longer but An-124 has bigger wing area
@SyntheticL how about the c5 galaxy?
@Juno nope, even if it was destroyed, its size was already measured irl, so it still has its title as the biggest plane in the world. also A380 is just one of the largest planes in the world, but there are more planes bigger than it aside from the AN-225.
@Juno Stratolaunch and An-124 is still bigger imo.
Does that mean the biggest plane in the world is now the Airbus A380?
@ZeroWithSlashedO I don’t use it either, but I’ve been checking the Ukrainian Twitter every now and then to see what’s new. I was so happy to hear when it was originally safe, but apparently I jumped the gun…
But like how tho @jamesPLANESii
The aviation community has now declared war on Russia. This was the final straw.
Ukrainian government has just confirmed. Its official now.
@Thelegitpilot13
Oh, ok. Thank you for the confirmation.
I've actually barely used Twitter, so Idk what happened.
No the BBC reported that it was destroyed
"You burned the biggest plane, but our Myria will never perish"
-Ukrainian Goverment
@Thelegitpilot13 nevermind it's actually gone I checked the date nvm...
uh... I thought the pilot said it was fine...
There’s official confirmation from the Ukrainian government: It’s been destroyed. Awaiting word from Antonov, but all signs point to us having lost the beautiful bird.
