@WNP78 Vetrix's profile still can't be accessed, yet he posted a race car awhile ago so he isn't banned. Is that a manual fix that has to be done for each case?
@Bellcat Vetrix posted a race car awhile ago, not sure when he changed his pfp but yeah it looked different before. Also yes, we should end this conversation before we end up making 50 comments and still not getting anywhere lol
@Korzalerke, sorry, I did not know about Vetrix’s profile picture change. I did not know what the profile pictures look like when Vetrix got hacked because you did not tell me what it looked like. Therefore, I quickly assume it was hacked, judging from how a hacked YouTube channel converts itself into a scam account. Now I am ending this should end because I am running out of arguments and this is going to fill up too much with our useless comments.

That proves it wasn't really a serious hacking attempt, just a kid who was "bored".
@Bellcat Oh, the reason i have an identicon (the default profile pictures you're talking about) is because i changed my email but i'm not sure if i want to use gravatar again, not sure about him though. I assume you thought he got hacked because of his profile picture being an identicon, it is extremely unlikely that that would happen since the accounts only contain planes that everyone could access anyway. The user you mentioned apparently got hacked as a "prank" by someone, so it will probably not repeat itself any time soon.
@Korzalerke, Actually it is possible to hack then sell those accounts to the black market. I was going to say that these accounts do have little or no commercial value as this is not a famous website to date. I can think up of various methods, such as:
Phishing (like advertising for fake upvotes or being a fake password recovery helper as a bait to give them useful information to hack accounts afterwards).
Brute force access (like trying multiple passwords, likely difficult or outright impossible).
There was one incident though that an account got successfully hacked. Luckily the owner changed it’s password to prevent future hacks.

What I actually mean by the “default patterns” are the default profile pictures, like the one you’re using right now, that have distinctive patterns that are generated according to your email address.
@Bellcat I'm not sure i understand what you mean by "default patterns", but yes, i'm aware as to why social media accounts may get hacked, but simpleplanes isn't a social media nor can anyone gain anything other than attention here, i don't see why someone would want access to a specific account so much that they'd pay for it.

The profile change and inaccessibility can be a sign of a hacking but you did not tell me the profile changed back to the default patterns. So I misjudged the situation. Thank you for your information though. I will try to learn better, but first tell me how to look into situations correctly so events like this will not happen again.
@enzoBoeing757 Hm, weird. Like i said it probably has to do with the fact that you were banned for a while, i guess the server doesn't work very well with temporary bans so when the ban expired you could use your account again but your profile was still locked.
@Bellcat Why would a hacker attempt to steal someone's simpleplanes account? Wouldn't he try to steal something more important? Plus, if he (enzoBoeing757) really was hacked, wouldn't he have lost access to his account? Anyone smart enough to hack someone would immediately change the password and recovery email after obtaining access to the account. I don't think this is what happened, i'd say it was probably something to do with the fact that both he and Vetrix were temporarily banned. Maybe the server didn't notice that their ban time was over and so didn't make their profiles available again.
Judging from this forum post and Korzalerke’s comment, the account might have been taken over by a hacker. This is just my theory regarding this new kind of incident and I cannot guarantee this will be true.
The same happened with Vetrix when he came back, he even changed his pfp but no one can access his profile. @AndrewGarrison maybe you should look into this.
