BIG NEWS (for my followers)
Lately I've been signing up to be a machinist in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and yesterday I passed my entry level fitness test which means I'm OFFICIALLY IN now! Yes, Mister "has gone 2000 hours in SP without placing a missile on anything", has actually signed up for the air force and got in. :D
Anyway, May 15th (which is a bit over a month away) is when I start my recruit training, and there is minimal phone use and definitely no computers to build planes in SP on, so I will be almost completely gone for at least 3 months. Then after that, I will have about a week off before I start my machining training, where I will basically be making parts for aircraft around the bases, and will likely have mush less time to play SP, and I will also likely be learning how to use other CAD programmes, so planes I make from then on will likely be for X Plane and possibly other flight sims later on.
Noting that this game and website has basically been my entire teenage life, the chance of me totally disappearing from here is very low
Anyway. Projects.
I've been slacking off in my curating lately (Sorry Andrew!) to grind these two planes to completion before I get in. They're called the Scout Miro and Scout Miromiro. The miromiro is a twin engine version of the Miro, which I imagine to be a sliughtly later model than the Scout Miro made here. (early 60s vs mid 50s)
The Scout Miro is essentially done, but I know if I upload it now, I will have little inspiration to complete the Scout Miromiro, which still needs a lot of work in the cockpit and the engines and livery and stuff. ALso if I have the make changes to the Miromiro that also apply to the Miro, I won't be able to change the Miro once I've uploaded it.
.
Anyway, here are pictures:
Scout Miro:
Scout Miromiro
I also want to make a curatable version of the Miro with significantly less parts (current is about 1850) and also possibly a float plane version of the Miromiro using the floats off my Cessna 180 with some minor adjustments. I'm glad I made that float plane. :D
.
These will be uploaded between now and May 15th, and the Miro should be uploaded within the next two weeks. If you would like to be tagged on the Miro, just ask :)
Good luck there o7
also T!

Congrats! Now instead of making planes in a videogame, you can help make planes in real life. That's really cool!
Also T on the low part version (and a low-part Miromiro if you happen to make one)
Damn congrats man, hope you get to sit in a fighter someday, also T on all planes
I am going to miss you, also T
@jamesPLANESii I Just Love Type Like That, And About My Grammar... I'll Just Say It's Already Sh#t.
@Here Bro The Way You Type Has Immediately Ldentified Yourself Ngl
It makes me exhausted just thinking about how much extra effort it must take to degrade your grammar by typing like that ngl
@jamesPLANESii If Someone Made Account And Delete It You Can't Use His Username Again
@Here Nobody made a username called Here until 2 hours ago???? BRUH
Maybe it used to be a person but they deleted their account and we couldn't take the username until recently tho
But yeah. The Miromiro has more parts than the Miro, thanks to more engines and avionics, and retractable landing gear lol. Dunno when it's gonna be released. I don't have all that much inspiration to finish it atm. It's pretty close to completion so it will come eventually
Guys Your Devices Can't Run Miro, Don't Ask For MiroMior Cuz:
AB = A.B = A × B
MiroMiro = Miro.Miro = Miro × Miro
So Yeah, That's The PC Death Formula
@ThatRandomCouchPotato The Miromirois like 95% done, I still have to comete the interior panel, make a door on the nose for baggage and finish off the cowlings. But I really haven't been playing much SP lately :p
Where’s the miromicro?
T if i can see it
@jamesPLANESii ok 👍
@TheFlyingHusky I have no idea lol
Let's just say... someday lol
@jamesPLANESii do you know when the Miromiro will release?
T when you come back please make 800 part build I've had to buy 10 spare computers and again T
Ayyy well done
Good luck James!
@jamesPLANESii ok is there just no cowl flaps for this plane then
@UltraLight They're meant to be carb heat and cabin heat, but they don't function. But you can pretend they do if you want :)
@jamesPLANESii ok, do you know what the two knows beneath the throttle, prop and mix are? I'm thinking one would be cowl flaps but Idk why there would be two
@UltraLight Yeah, the radio stack and a few of the gauges are actually just taken off this plane, with the fonts adjusted. I think the thing that looks like a fuel computer actually only tells you the temperature and the time since the flight started. Or, it might do more, just I don't know how to use it lmao
I think it's saying 20.3°C lol
@jamesPLANESii @JohnnyBoythePilot yeah the fancy buttons are the cherry on top of this cockpit. But what I like most is either the radio or what I'm assuming is the fuel computer? That little installement in the top left of the panel with two blue lights and one red, it looks like my friends fuel computer... not sure why it says 203 • C tho lol
@JohnnyBoythePilot Hehe thanks!
