my attitude in this regard is the following: simply downloading without upvoting doesn't work at all - no appreciation..then the complex models are no longer available.
In general, the rating should be revised here in the SP forum. The current reward system for elaborate models bears no relation to the feedback result. - If there is no extrinsic motivation, the inner intrinsic motivation to put work into the next project naturally decreases. - In the end there are only simple "eggs" creations in this forum.. or something similar.
This is my personal opinion. - And ultimately the consequence of taking out my multi-week complex models again if I don't see any positive feedback coming back.
..Please hold back your "T" comments, thanks!
Noooo, why do you delete this awesome plane. I was about to download it and I can't
So, this is a "look what you could have enjoyed if you'd given me more internet points" post?
It's quite possible that you didn't get the attention you wanted for this build because of a lack of teasers. If you don't post teasers prior to the release of a build, it's possible that it won't be noticed as much as you would prefer, meaning it eventually gets buried in "New" and you don't get those internet points.
Since you clearly put a very large amount of work into this aircraft, I'm rather surprised at the lack of teasers to get peoples' attention, as well as the fact that you were so hasty to remove it since it wasn't immediately as popular as you would have liked.
'Tis a shame. I would have liked to try it out, but not anymore I suppose.
@DerekSP
..and yes, of course, everything will pass.. time flies, and everything changes and servers are deleted :) - yes, that doesn't mean that after weeks of work x hours - you don't get any feedback.. I agree with him- on this point he is right.
- He drew his conclusion from it and explained it sufficiently and sincerely.. why should he spend time again and post models here? I would say he's gone.
-this comminuty doesn't deserve him and he doesn't deserve us..
@DerekSP I would be frustrated if I were him. I can understand the conclusions well. he also uninstalled SP, he says in another "deleted plane -post".
- He recently adjusted his profile, the "no upvotes no models" etc. has only been there for 1 day - before that, his profile looked different.
- I think the attitude is right.
- he also explains his motivation enough.
- Think rather he is too old for this forum. The target group here is more of a 'kindergarten' level ..at least when I read your answer and insinuation.
If your bio is correct and ".. no upvotes .. no models... simple" is your motto, then I'm sorry to say it but you leaving the community and uninstalling SP is for the best.
I understand your frustration but in the end the upvotes don't do anything for you, if the reason you play the game and invest effort into it is only to chase fake internet points then just don't play the game.
Downloading without upvoting is perfectly fine and nobody should be made to feel bad about it. If you do see a plane you like and upvote it, then good for you, but if you don't it doesn't really matter. If you were leaving negative non-constructive comments instead, that would be an issue, but just not upvoting something is fine.
The SP servers will go down sooner or later and erase all of your points anyway, at which point all the time you invested into the game would become completely wasted if all you were after were those points.
@T8flight
The former statement is correct (- see above) - afraid of not getting enough upvotes? .. makes no sense in a release. - if the second statement is true then you don't even start wasting time. - but with a lack of motivation, this is exactly consequence in this case - respective it result in an lack of motivation.. (also see my motivation above)
and if I'm honest, I've already yesterday uninstalled SP and don't want to delve further into the topic because it doesn't help. Everyone has to know for themselves what they use their free time for and what is personally motivating for them and what isn't.. here, too, I refer to the text above.
i dont get it. you uploaded this and you didnt get enough upvotes? or you dont want to because you are scared you wont get enough?
Can you make a version without a startup sequence?
