Please ignore the misspelled word and grammar mistakes. This is my first book so cut me some slack thanks and I plan on continuing this for a while over the summer and until I decide to stop. P.S. there is a lot of lore(i hope)
Book one Chapter one: The beginning

1You and your scouting party are scouting the area when you saw a bright flash of light and you and your team went to investigate. You find a walled off city, so you do what anyone would, you look for a way in. While looking for a way in you see a hole in the wall but it is only big enough for one person to go through so you and the three other scouts went through one by one. You and your team decide to stay in the shadows so as to not lose the element of surprise and reveal your location. You see nothing in the streets, not a single piece of trash on the ground which is interesting because the area outside of the wall has a bunch of trash lying out and about . You and your team come out of the alley you were hiding in and carefully with your rifles raised, walk through the streets looking for anything and anyone.

2Before you located the mysterious city you met another person who you asked what year it was and what happened here. He told you it was 2017 and that 7 months ago the dead started rising and the military tried to keep them back but failed. While walking through the streets you notice the buildings aren't run down or decayed, in fact they look new, like before the war started before you found yourself here in this time and place. Just then out of the corner of your eye you swear you saw something move. You tell your team to stop so you can investigate to see what it was but who or whatever was there is gone now but you notice that there are no windows and no large holes in any of the walls “there is now where to go” you think to yourself “how could it run off there is nowhere to hide it's just an empty alley”.

3You tell your group to keep going until you reach a fork in the road so you and one of the scouts, your co-pilot, a guy named casey. You and Casey take the left road while your navigator robbie and your tail gunner peter take the right road. You and Casey see a park and decide to go in. You see a sign saying “keep paws of the far grass” you say out loud “what the-' ' but you're cut off by a noise coming from a forest nearby. You point your rifle in that direction and you and Casey head towards the forest rifles raised.

4Suddenly you hear a “SNAP” you know that sound, a branch or twig snapping so you take aim at it but before you can even take aim in the right direction you hear another “SNAP” coming from another area of the forest. Casey shot one once it hit a tree. He is a good hunter but somehow he sucks at actually aiming a rifle. It took off into the trees. You never even saw it before it started running. You regain your composure after a second and start chasing it but it was fast. After about 5 minutes of running you finally see the end of the forest. Once you exit the forest like a group of trees you hear frustrated grunting like something trying to escape and you were right the thing you were chasing just a few seconds ago was caught in a trap “who laid the trap?” Casey asked and just at that moment Robbie and Peter come out of what appears to be their hiding spot. You ask if they set the trap which they did because they heard a twig snap. Then 10-15 minutes later the mysterious creature got caught in the trap they set and a few seconds after they saw us come out of the forest.

5We were all confused at what was in the trap. A red bipedal cat-like creature with a scar across its eye. Robbie grabbed a pair of bolt cutters he found when we explored an old barn on our way to investigate the city. He cut the rope and the net came down. Peter was smart enough to get the transport truck through the giant metal gate out front which he quickly figured out how it worked. We got it out of the net and put it in the back of the truck and we drove off. We stopped and slept for the night and set up a watch schedule and I got the first watch. The next day we checked on the creature we caught the day prior and drove back to base. Once we got back to base we took the mystery cat-like creature out and asked it a simple question to see if it was sentient and to see if it could talk, which it did apparently so that was a surprise. It said that in their world humans have gone extinct and they are the only sentient species that still exists. We asked if it has a name. It said its name is Blaze, like a blazing fire. I can see why it has that name. It's red for crying out loud oh and he’s a male.

6He told us the name of his species, the felinians(if there was a show or movie of this, this is where I would play the x-files theme)? Yeah I know shocking right that was to be expected because they’re cat people for pete's sake. He said everyone hid when they got transported here. Apparently someone in a cloak waved their hand and then they were here at least that's what he says. So I had Robbie and Peter take him back to the walled city and Casey and I Took the C-47 named “old smoky”. The pilot's name is Ian and the co-pilots name is John. Ian and John were out looking for anything to help defend what we claimed as our base like tanks, artillery guns and other airplanes. It's a good thing me and Casey have experience on just about any plane you can think of.

7We took off and headed to the walled city about an hour away, 4 by driving and 8 by walking. It's a good thing the cat city was put on a very large plot of farm land. Luckily the city was put in the zone with the least amount of zombies. On their way to the walled city Robbie and Peter encountered a small group of about 20-25 zombies blocking the road. Peter manning the M3 browning machine gun and a Browning-Colt Mk12 Mod 3 20mm autocannon he salvaged from a crashed F-8E Crusader(M3 browning was already attached to the jeep by casey the day prior to today's events)the autocannon is equipped on the side of the jeep and is fired by a joystick we set up in the back so our jeep is a three person operated jeep and is now a five person jeep a driver, the M3 browning operator, autocannon operator and two passengers(one in the front one in the back).

8Peter hopped on the browning autocannon and Robbie hopped on the M3 and they took out about half the zombies before the autocannon ran out of ammo. Just a few seconds after the autocannon ran out of ammo the M3 jammed so they grabbed their rifles, got out of the jeep and took out the other half. Then Peter got back in the jeep but Robbie went towards the dead undead and looked at them. for a minute. He then saw a zombie crawling so he took out a pistol he found and shot it twice in the head. He then grabbed a hand shot it then put it in the back he said it was a souvenir?.

Book one Chapter two: The fight
9After an hour casey and I finally got to the walled city we hoped the flyers explaining everything here is what the flier said:

“Please remain calm. You are in a zombie apocalypse but you got lucky.

you were placed in the least dense area and your walls are high enough to keep out the

zombies. Just make sure to check the perimeter we will come in two days time to put

up some watch towers.

just relax and go about your normal business we will take care of the zombies oh and if

you hear the bells ring get inside as quickly as possible and be careful when going out

Side you don’t know what's out here”.

10We opened the cargo door and sent 100 biodegradable paper flyers out and hope the cat people will understand. Two days later… We arrive at the walled city and noticed through a window we made when we first got there to see if zombies were coming that three or four felinians were cautiously walking out and about so we used a hand crank we installed on the gate on our way out the first day(it is the 7th day). So me, Casey, Robbie, and Peter got in the truck with all of our work supplies. Luckily we found another one to carry the supplies and building materials. The first one is carrying the tools and machines.

11We made a plan to create watchtowers to the North,East,South, and West. We started with the north and we got “Northstar Tower” done in three and a half hours so we got to work on the second tower which we chose to call “tower of the south pole”. We got that one done in three hours so we figured we would get the other two done but then the bells rang. We grabbed our rifles and clambered into the watchtowers. Casey and I were in Northstar tower and Robbie and Peter were in the tower of the south pole.

We fought and fought and fought until the zombies were dispatched and the bells stopped ringing. We realized we were low on ammo and supplies so I sent Peter to go and get more supplies. We know what time the bells ring. The bells ring at 5:00 PM. It was about 8:30 so we decided to call it a night so we camped out inside the city with no tents or anything. The transport truck's rear made a nice makeshift bed. Two of us could sleep on the floor, one on the bench, and one in the cab. Day 8 7:00 AM, we got to work after we had some meals ready to eat(MRE). We found them at the base for breakfast and we immediately got to work on the “East Coast Tower” and the “West Coast Tower”.

After we got done we hung a sign-up sheet saying if anyone wants to join our special task force. We left it there for about three days and when we looked we got two applicants Blaze and someone named Reina”rainy”bleu so we posted another flier saying to be at the main gate by 0500(5:00)AM for basic training.

Book one Chapter three: basic training

Once five o'clock AM hit the next morning Casey, Peter, John(C47 co-pilot) and I hopped in the transport truck and set off for the walled city. We saw two felinians standing by the gate so we asked if they were here for basic training. We saw blaze and the other applicant. We told them to hop in the back with John and Peter. The second applicant is also brightly colored. I have no idea how they evolved to have colored fur. On our way to the training grounds we saw a gas station and decided to explore so Peter and I went in and found a zombie in the bathroom and another three in the storage room. We shot them and they dropped dead officially and continued exploring. While exploring we found a german MP-40 machine gun underneath the counter. We left with the gun and made it to the training grounds.

When we got there we showed them how to use a gun and did basic exercises. Just as we were finishing up with basic training our aerial scout, Bob, spotted a group of bandits flying vintage planes. Not jets but prop planes from WWII. they must have gotten them from a museum somewhere. We scrambled to the fighters and took to the sky. Casey and I chose the SBD Dauntless, Peter chose the F4U Corsair, Robbie chose the F-86 saber ,and John chose the P-38 lightning. After about five minutes of flying we encountered them. They were flying German Bf-109’s and they even had 2 JU 87 stukas, a very terrifying plane. Casey and I shot down the first plane, a Bf-109 and Robbie scored a kill on a stuka we defeated them with minor damage to our planes.

But how do they have stukas that still fly? From my research of 2017 I found that only 2 stukas remain and don’t fly. So the same thing that happened to us must have happened to the germans. This is a big problem not just for us but the cat people too because the germans will just start bombing them. So I hopped in the cockpit of the SBD Dauntless and Peter Hoppes in the tail gun, we got refueled and rearmed so we could defend ourselves and everyone else too. We took off on a scouting mission to locate their air base. We found the base. It looks like it was transported here by the same mysterious figure that brought the cat people here, and maybe even the same figure that brought me and my squadron here.

Well this explains the MP-40 we found at that gas station. We still need to figure out which base it is so Casey, my B-17 crew, and I are going to fly in the B-17 “old smokey '' alongside my navigator Peter in the P-38 and Robbie in the corsair. We are going on a search and destroy mission to search, locate, and destroy the German air base. After we took off we flew in the opposite direction the german planes came from which was to the north thankfully the walled city is to the south so the germans did not see them. We found the german air base and just as we thought, we saw a Nazi flag hanging on a flag pole, our navigator, James used a pair of binoculers and saw a sign that said “Das Kampfgeschwader 200” roughly translated to The combat squadron 200. One of the secret branches of the luftwaffe, he saw a B-17, a Corsair, a supermarine spitfire, and a whole lot of trouble and they aren't just flying captured aircraft but also flying experimental german aircraft so we turned back to base instead of risking it and risk being spotted . We made it back to base without being seen by any of the spotters and told everyone what we found and tomorrow we will head out to bomb and mabye even capture their base.

Well today we head out to bomb the base, my plane will carry its maximum short range payload of 8000 lbs, the Corsair, two 250 lb bombs and 8 rockets, the P-38 will be carrying ten rockets, the SBD will carry two 250 lb bombs and one 500 lb bomb, and the F-86 will be carrying two rockets. We get in our planes and start up the engines and prepare to take off. Me and Casey are in the B-17 with the rest of the , Peter and John hopped in the SBD dauntless, Bob chose the Corsair, my bombardier James chose the F-86, and Ian will fly the P-38. Once we got in the air we turned north towards the german air base and prepare to bomb it. We are 5 minutes away from the target preparing to bomb the base when peter saw a small group of about 4 Me 262’s a WWII german jet fighter and we went into battle bob shot down one, ian shot down another and peter took down two. We finally reached the base and flak was bombarding us all around but we survived the flak and dropped our bombs turned and headed back to base. That will teach the Germans not to mess with us ever.

Today we headed out to install some anti-air and anti-tank artillery when I noticed the cat people slowly adjusting to the new environment. We got three anti-tank guns installed and 3 AA guns installed and thanks to our engineer John we managed to make them auto guns so we don't have to be there all the time to fire them because we have other matters to attend to. After we got the guns installed we drove for 4 hours to the german base and we got there we saw we took out all of their defenses, most of the aircraft, all airmen except a few were killed and almost all of the officers and ground crew were killed. We took the remaining 15-20 Germans that were left and made them a deal, fight for and with us or spend time in a jail cell until they agreed to help. All except five officers chose to join us and the officers got put in jail under close watch by our toughest airman, the F-86 pilot, a guy named sylvester.

While this all went down, blaze and his friend and the other applicant stayed in the barracks until we got back. They stayed back for a few days until we got basic training completed and now we have a whole new base so tomorrow we will head over there for the rest of basic training. They finally completed basic training with flying colors and they are now ready for advanced training

Book one Chapter four: advanced training
The applicants are finally ready for advanced training: air school and artillery training. We started off with artillery training and showed them how to use a flak cannon and artillery gun and we told them how to stay safe while using it. Next we taught them how to use every position of the B-17, and how to fly it. We will teach them how to use each plane but that will take awhile to complete. oh and rainy has blue fur.

During advanced training our aerial observer, Bob, tells us he found what appears to be a building with planes out back and a plane in the front. Casey, Peter, Bob, Robbie and I drive the 1 hour or so to get there and what do you know, an aviation museum only an hour away. The museum is called the National Museum of the US Air Force and from what it looks like they have a lot of planes here most which probably don't fly but we can make them airworthy. We managed to get one plane airworthy, a B-25 which only took three hours and now we can go and pick up Ian and John from the walled city because they just finished laying down a runway there when the transport truck they were using broke down.

I told Bob to take the jeep back to the base and Casey, Robbie, Peter and I got the plane out through a pair of hangar doors and pulled it using an aircraft tug. We climbed in and took our places, I am the pilot, caseys the top turret gunner(in case anymore bandits or germans show up), robbie is the navigator, and peter is the tail gunner. We took off from a makeshift runway, which is a metal foldable runway used for island bases, like Midway, that we brought with us in case there was no runway. We got into the air with no problems, but after about an hour we heard a sound no pilot wanted to hear, an engine fire alert. We saw flames coming out of engine one so we turned off the engine, disengaged the fuel pump and activated the Emergency Fire Suppression System(EFSS)to put out the fire and once the fire was put out we reengaged the fuel pump and reactivated the engine. It was smooth flying after that problem was fixed and we made it on time at the new makeshift runway near the walled city.

We picked up Ian and John and flew back to base for dinner and then we will finish artillery training in the morning. Today we finished artillery training, and the trainees were pretty good at moving, loading, and shooting the artillery cannons so we moved on to flying school. We are first going to teach them how be safe while flying the planes, next we will show how to fly planes, then we will show them how to each position of the bombers, last we will give them a test on flying. Casey and I took the jeep to go pick up the trainees from the barracks and drove over to the training site. We went to the safety briefing which I was going to give and I spent 15 minutes telling them what and what not to do in certain situations, how to actually fly, and land safely. Then we took them out onto the tarmac and brought them over to a pair of T-6 Texans two seat flight training aircraft and me and Casey helped them into the T-6’s and then Casey and I got into the instructors seat and we took off.

Once we got into the air we showed them how to do some basic maneuvers like how to turn and go up and down. Then we did an aerobatic maneuver, a simple barrel roll which the blue one seemed to like but the red one, not so much. We landed and decided that they had enough training to fly light fighters(F-86, F4U, and a captured Bf-109) so we let them fly an individual plane by themselves. “Besides” I said to Casey ``they showed they can land a plane safely” Blaze(the red one) and I climbed into a couple of P-40 warhawks captured by the germans. We took off and got about 15 minutes of flight time in before we got a call that 5 Bf-109’s and 5 german Panzer IV tanks were inbound from the East. Apparently we missed some germans when we bombed the german base and I decided to give blaze some acual combat experience in a P-40 good thing I armed the P-40’s with 6 250 lb dumb bombs.

We flew over to the base and saw the F-86 and the P-38 taking off and then we got another transmision from the base saying there were 15 Bf-109’s and 10 tanks. Shortly after that transmission me and blaze saw the F4U take off. I told blaze to activate the supercharger I installed and that it will allow us to go faster and catch up to the others so we did and caught up to the other planes. We engaged the squadron first since the tank platoon was an hour away so we had enough time to take out the planes. We got 10 of them but one got an F-86 in the tail and rudder so he had to go back to base. We took out the other 5 and flew towards the tanks who, when we got there were in clearing so I start dive bombing the now stationary tanks I got one, then another, then another until i hade 5 kills and blaze got one by dropping his bombs randomly, the P-38 pilot got the other 4 kills. We flew back to base to debrief about the battle and to figure out where they came from. So I asked to see if blaze wanted to come be an observer because he can’t start flying planes officially until he has at least one observation mission completed so he said he’s down and we hopped in the SBD dauntless, took off, and headed East.

Blaze spotted the germans makeshift air base in the plains and I told him to mark off the location of the base which he did. We returned back to home base as we call it now and debriefed with the rest of what we unofficially called Squadron Z codenamed: “The Undead Dispatchers”(T.U.D). Now Blaze is officially part of the squadron and will be given a plane to call his own and to name it whatever he wants. He decided to name it: “The Time Space Traveler” since he traveled here from another universe's Earth that we now call “planet of the cat people” I know not catchy at all but hey who is to judge we are in a zombie apocalypse right. Well Blaze, Peter, and I went out to find more food and supplies because our supplies and food will only last so long so we took the jeep and a transport truck and headed out. We stopped at a big building that said “SuperMarket” so we went inside. It still had power which made no sense but hey power means someone might be here so we decided to get enough food to last years like canned food and food that does not expire.

Book one Chapter five: the Hoard
We managed to get enough food to last a few years so we decided to hit the road once more to see what else we could find. Well we did not find anything else so we just went back to base. When we got back we found out the blue cat person went on an observation mission and is also officially a part of the squadron. As soon as we got the transport truck unloaded and debriefed we heard the alarm siren that the walled city was being attacked so we had found a couple tanks(a BT-7 and a char b1 bis) so we had 3 people per tank and got going. Blaze and I are in the SBD dauntless, Peter in the corsair, the blue one in a P-40, and Sylvester in the newly repaired F-86 saber. When we got there we saw zombies attacking the wall but not breaking through and the bells rang so I fired a flare from a flare gun that I put underneath every seat in every plane to distract the zombies from the wall and draw their attention to a clearing where we can easily see them.

The fighters strafed the hoard and the watchers in the watch towers did a good job of taking out the stragglers and after that I started to go into a dive to dive bomb the zombie hoard. I activated the sling(slings the bomb away from the prop while diving) and dropped a 500 lb bomb directly in the middle of the hoard taking out around 75% of the zombies. I had two 250 lb bombs left so I went around and went into another dive and dropped the other two taking out a good chunk of the few that were left. Out of bombs so I started strafing them but only hit one zombie but its a good thing the tanks arived because we are low on ammo and fuel. After we defeated the hoard, we got news that two C-47’s came from only what could be described as a portal. I realized how we got here, some mysterious figure was transported, us, the cat people, the secret german squadron, and the two C-47’s. They must have transported all of us here for a reason but what reason could it be guess we will have to wait and see. Until then we'll just have to keep on fighting. Today we got into the air for an air raid of the german air base to the East of the squadron Z home base. My crew, casey, and my new ball turret gunner Blaze, and I are takeing the B-17 bomber with a fighter escort consisting of the corsair and the P-38 lightning.

The base was quiet for well, an air base. We flew the 2 hours it took to get there and once we were 5 minutes away my bombardier, Rick opened the bomb bay doors and 5 minutes later “bombs away” he said as he hit the “drop switch”. He scored a direct hit on the hangers and fuel tanks. When we hit the hangers, we damaged some Bf-109’s but from the looks of it they are still flyable with just a few repairs needed. The undamaged aircraft took off and started to engage us in a sortie. Blaze got one kill, the corsair's original pilot, Eric got five kills and my tail gunner, Peter got six kills. With all of the planes taken out. I had the b1 bis crew and a couple guys in the transport truck take the remaining 5 germans as prisoners. Just like the first time, we gave them a choice to join us or not, they chose to join us of course.

After getting refueled and rearmed, Blaze and I climbed into a pair of F6F-5 hellcats and departed for the aircraft carrier, USS Yorktown(CV-6), a WWII lexington class carrier. Once we got there and landed on the deck of the Yorktown, we used the boarding walkway to get off so we could find a strong tug boat to pull the massive Essex class carrier. Blaze managed to find a Nathanael Greene-class large coastal tug, strong enough to pull a carrier which is perfect for what we are doing, which is pulling this vessel to the closest point to the base. We managed to get the carrier over to a now abandoned Norfolk naval harbor(our base is located somewhere near the DC area). We fly the 10 minutes it takes to get back to the base and get everyone transferred to the carrier because it can carry all of our planes, except the B-17 and B-25, we will leave those with the 10 people we left to look after the base and to watch over the germans because untrustworthy Nazis will be thrown into the apocalypse. I am the captain of the renamed Essex class carrier USS “Zombie Destroyer”. The carrier has a 150 man crew including a group of 10 felian crew who signed up for Naval service in “Two Nations Navy” (including a helmsman, 2 officers(Blaze and Rainy), and 7 enlisted).

We then set off for Midway which was by the time we got there completely run down, so we spent a week fixing it up to get good to use again which we did. Blaze And I hopped in a DC3 sitting on the tarmac powered it up and set off for the base. We had to ditch the plane 3 miles from base because we lost an engine and the other caught fire AND we ran out of fuel so we had to walk the rest of the way which took a couple hours but we finally got back to pick up the B-17 and B-25 and bring them back to Midway, which we made it after hours of flying. So now we have two bases for Squadron Z, Midway and the Norfolk base. We got all the aircraft unloaded from the carrier and began putting them in the hangers. I found a PT boat(Patrol Torpedo boat) that was well hidden under a camo tarp onland and it was in amazing condition so I refueled it, got it in the water and assigned a crew of 10 to it. The crew consisted of me, the captain, Blaze, the driver, Peter, the rear gunner Robbie, the torpedoman Eric, the front turret gunner, Casey, and 4 my B-17 crew.

We set off alongside the carrier USS “Zombie Destroyer”(ZD 1) for an exploratory mission/purpose. We traveled to japan first and as soon as we got there we saw A6M Zeros patrolling the coast so we can only assume the other Nations of WWII are here which they were except Germany. We traveled back to Midway to refuel and we made our way back to the original base. Once we got there we told the soldiers we left back there to form the “Two Nations Army” what we found which was that the WWII Nations of, Japan, Italy, and a couple British and US air bases and only 3 carriers Enterprise(CV-6), Yorktown(CV-5), and Hornet(CV-8).

We returned to Midway and Blaze, Rainy, and I got some F6F hellcats, put them on the carrier, got to a good location, then we took off. I was the first one off, then Blaze, and Rainy was the last one off. We flew to pearl harbor because the WWII pearl harbor was there instead of the 21st century pearl harbor. We were patrolling the harbor when out of nowhere, another rift opened and out came, something? I had to turn to avoid it so we landed at pearl harbor and hopped in a transport truck armed only with 3 M1 garand rifles, quite a bit of ammo, and some nets and stiff to make traps. We searched the area and found a weird creature emitting electricity
