What do you use for planning and designing your aircrafts?Do you draw them? Do you use a virtual planner? Do you build and let it go or something else? Just to know

When i go to museums I take closeup pics of details so I can if I want to build them in game,
But most of the time I use balsa wood model plans and
Blueprints for my replicas as well as using google images,
Sometimes when a plane only has one picture and that's a grainy black and white one, I will usually try to make it easier to see in Photoshop before building,
I think about what sort of plane I want to build, then, because I'm a nerd loser, I pull different design concepts from my encyclopedic knowledge of historical and contemporary warplanes.
Well it helps that I have a wallpaper with 30+ Canadian historical aircraft. I don't mean to boast but I kinda have a lot of knowledge about planes and what they look like and have a pretty good eye for it. I don't really use pictures I only do for the paint XD
Sometimes I just wing it. Get it. I laughed so hard at my own joke.
......Google images....
I don't, the pieces fly together in my mind
I usually start with a concept I want to try, and build my plane around it. Like the double wings of the Ju-87, or the movable wings of the F-14, or forward swept wings. If it's a replica of something I try to start by putting the engines where they should be; the rest follows that.
If it's my own design, i draw them, but usually i tend to build planes from Fantasy video games, or I'll build planes designed by Mattel. if I can, I put the picture of the plane I am building on the secondary monitor.
If it's my own design, I usually draw it, but only very roughly. I don't want to get bogged down in details that will probably have to be changed.
