Sorry for the belated special of mine. No, it's not a plane being sent to challenges, it would be a challenge hosted by me!
However, the winner is not based on upvotes, but on the entry's performance.
So what would be the main criteria for the challenge?
Speed, Precision, Strength
...as a fictional character would say.
Speed
- How fast the craft is? Its cruise speed? Its climb rate?
- How maneuvrable it is?
- How the control surfaces react to the plane's speed and its weight?
- In what speed it would stall?
- How does its speed and maneuvrability react to the ceiling of the aircraft?
Precision
- Is the plane easy to handle?
- Is the plane suitable for combat?
- Is the accessories (eg. gunsight) aids the pilot on targeting hostiles?
- How does the wing react to any aspect of flight?
- Does the plane not tend to perform a little yawing after turning?
Strength
- How may hours could the plane stay aloft in air?
- How durable it is?
- Can it withstand hours of dogfights?
- What is the range of the aircraft?
- Can it be pitted in dogfights against subsequent generations of aircraft?
Total score would be 75.
Special points may be added to the design, cockpit design (may lead to curation), number of upvotes and other things.
Slight infractions on rules does not disqualify the aircraft, it would be rectified by me. However, if the plane breaks half the criteria it would be disqualified.
First challenge will be posted later at night.
