@TheFlightGuySP Yes They Are Way To Do That But FT, But Why We Don't Have Just A Output, To Avoid Writing 1000000 Line Of Variables
@MrCOPTY Right. So if you want to do that, you need to do some XML math: the aircraft's overall fuel percentage (in decimal form) multiplied by the maximum quantity in your fuel tank of choice. If you want to convert units, just plug in the math for conversion to the math that is shown above for the fuel amount.
You could put the math into a gauge or text field (for digital displays), but I'm no expert in that area of Simpleplanes, so I don't entirely know how to do that.
@TheFlightGuySP But If You Want To Build A Complex Cockpit You Need To Know The Fuel Qty In Any Tank Exactly
But I can see the use in fuel tank activation groups, as it would act like a fuel selector valve.
I could be wrong when saying this, but I am pretty sure this is how it works: the aircraft's fuel indicator is the sum of all fuel tanks. Every fuel tank has fuel removed at the same rate but by different amounts (depending on the quantity in each tank).
Essentially, it doesn't matter how much fuel is in a specific tank, because if the fuel indicator says "25%", then the fuel in any given fuel tank is at 25%.
If you want volumetric data such as "liters" or "gallons", then all you need to do is a little bit of XML and math.
@V I Know That But I'm SP Player Not SR2 Player, I Hope You Understand What I Mean.
@MrCOPTY if you really, really want these things, SR2 has these features built in. Andrew is busy focusing on things other than SP right now
@V Exactly We Need Update

@MrCOPTY fuel tanks in this game don't work like that, they all combine to act like one fuel tank when they are loaded in
@V I Mean The Fuel Rate For a specific fuel tank
Fuel tanks do not have a specific capacity, Instead, all the fuel in the craft is added up, then a percentage is removed when a fuel tank is destroyed. As for fuel rate, you could just use this equation, then calculate the gallons/liters used from the percentage:
rate(Fuel)
.
As for more activation groups, you can use if statements to have something activate if more than one activation group is active, turning 7 activation groups (omitting AG8 as it's defaulted to on) into 127 If you utilize every possible combination. It's what I plan on doing with my mars rover, with the robotic arm using multiple different combinations.
@PlaneFlightX & @X99STRIKER & @HuskyDynamics01 Read The Question Now
@PlaneFlightX
Yea your right, I mostly just asked because you told me not to…
@X99STRIKER Well I can't really be bothered taking the time to write out a really long comment and then spending a further amount of time trying to solve all the problems the user has.
@PlaneFlightX
That’s not very cash money of you.
@X99STRIKER You ask someone else, or wait until 2050 when I release a video tutorial on simulated fuel tanks.
@PlaneFlightX
You cannot stop me.
How do you simulate fuel with the utilization of Funky Trees?
I just simulate fuel using a lot of FT.Don't ask me to explain.
Well, you can already read the "Fuel" value, which is why fuel gauges already work. With regards to individual fuel tank blocks, I don't believe that their values are individually calculated once the simulation loads, so it wouldn't be possible to say "okay, as of this point in time, this 20gal tank now has 14gal in it, and this other one has 17gal".
It’s called using your engines.
