Hello there,
I followed the getting started video from https://www.reddit.com/r/simpleplanes/wiki/modding.
Using Unity 2018.4.18f1, I imported SimplePlanes_ModTools.unitypackage into my Unity project. However, the SimplePlanes menu does not appear like in the video -- just Component and Window. The big difference I can think of is that I am on macOS. Is macOS simply not supported for modding?
I've tried clicking random things, rebuilding caches, but to no avail.

Thanks - updating to Unity 2020.3.26f1 made it work for me.
It just occurred to me you are using 2018 not 2020. 2018 does not work.
You should be using Unity 2020.3.26f1, the tutorial is a bit old (most information there is still relevant, though). It should work on macOS; If it still doesn't work with 2020.3.26f1, errors from the console may be helpful in diagnosing the issue.
@PlaneFlightX Thanks
Is this on Windows or Mac?
I'm not sure about mac versus Windows, but for me the simpleplanes toolbar (next to component, window, and others) appears as soon as I click import and the importing finishes. I don't know much about working on a mac, but I do know installing and running mods works, but I don't know about creating mods.
