Recently, on my 16th birthday, my biggest present was that i would be going on a flight on a restored B-25J. The flight was delayed by about a month, due to engine troubles. The flight was rescheduled to june 25th, tomorrow.
I was ofc told about the flight on my birthday, may 28th, and at the same time i decided this would also be an amazing opportunity to get a super up close view to be able to recreate this plane in SimplePlanes.
I will leave out details of the flight itself, but i will talk about what i plan for this project
Before, during, and after the flight i will be able to and will take numerous photos, which i will use to completely recreate in SimplePlanes, and make a highly detailed B-25. I expect i will have help from other users and friends, but i intend to do the majority myself, ofc.
This will be a high part builds, easily reaching over a couple thousand parts(maybe? Not sure, never gone to this much detail.)
Best yet, this will be made entirely on my phone.
I also intend to make multiple variants with different part counts so everyone can download a B-25; low part, minimal interior. Normal, full interior. High part(this will take the longest to finish), full everything (possibly down to every rivet(well maybe not every)
This ofc will take a long time, i ofc haven’t started yet and probably wont until the day after tmmr. Along with this i have been working the last couple days to get my first job.
Please let me know of any feedback, im super excited for this project and the ability to take a flight on a B-25. I have rarely flown even modern airlines so this will be a very nice and new experience. If you have any questions please ask
Finally, as i said i am getting a job and my motivation has been known to be all over the place, don’t expect this build soon but i will semi regularly post teasers and updates.
Thanks for reading! If you must contact me for anything that isnt the best for the SP website my discord is KipKip#4070
P.S. about my Dassault Rafale project. I plan to upload it soon but its for some reason hard to accept it as finished, ill take a look into that.
