April 8, 1939 - Second World War (1937-1948)

A convoy of six Imperial Japanese destroyers (DD) Anya, Mikasa, Eren, Loid, Armin, Luffy and a light carrier (CVE) Tanjiro has been spotted near eastern Taiwan and will attack Southern Taiwan, as for the destroyers, and Cagayan as for the sole carrier.
The main mission is to attack the incoming convoy to prevent attacks.

Fifteen Attila Model 2/Object 160 and one observation airship, the Sonnet (Tsuchiisan's Holy Lyre-class airship, ZA-002) will participate in the attack.

First Strike

Strikes happened at morning.
*Hull no. 215 attacked DD Anya, successfully sank her, but shot down by DD Armin.
*Hull no. 227 attacked DD Mikasa, successfully sank her, but shot down by DD Loid's flak.
*Hull no. 218 attacked DD Armin, DD slightly damaged, returned.
*Hull no. 219 attacked CVE, CVE damaged, returned.
*Hull no. 222 suffered an engine problem.
*Hull no. 229 attacked DD Armin, no damage, returned.

Second Strike

Strike happened at 1050-1230.
*Hull no. 224 attacked CVE Tanjiro, CVE damaged, but shot down by flak of DD Luffy
*Hull no. 227 attacked CVE Tanjiro, CVE damaged, returned.
*Hull no. 229 attacked DD Luffy, successfully sank her, but shot down by DD Armin's ack-ack.
*Hull no. 226 suffered two problems, engine problem and test pilot Frederica being dismissed for health.
*Hull no. 232 attacked DD Eren, DD damaged, but destroyed due to low-level skip bombing attempt.
*Hull no. 223 attacked CVE Tanjiro, CVE damaged, but shot down by DD Armin's ack-ack.

Third strike

Hull nos. 218, 222, 226, 230, 235, 221.
CVE, three DDs remaining.
Strike happened at 1510-1805.
*Hull no. 235 attacked CVE Tanjiro, damaged, but shot down by DD Armin's ack-ack.
*Hull no. 226, despite being a lone crew (Frederica was dismissed due to 'health problems'), attacked DD Eren, DD damaged, but had its aircraft damaged while doing skip-bombing and was shot down by DD Loid's ack-ack.
*Hull no. 222 attacked DD Eren, DD damaged, returned.
*Hull no. 221 attacked DD Loid, successfully sank her, returned safely.
*Hull no. 230 would be the last craft on the raid, attacked DD Eren, successfully sank her, returned.
*Hull no. 218, who participated in the first strike, located the CVE Tanjiro 85 km north of Cagayan for the strike, successfully sank her and landed in Baguio airfield.

This is Corporal Winston, dispatched in Baguio, to the comrades stationed in Taiwan, we have successfully eradicated Japanese convoy Eighteen. We can now strike Ogawasara and Okinawa islands by five days. To the lone beauty so sorry that your plane has been destroyed and will be relocated to hull 222.
