I'm going to install Ubuntu with Cinnamon tomorrow (dual-booting Windows 8.1) and wanted to know if this still works on it and if I need to get it again.
---UPDATE--- I checked and apparently not, is there a way to get it to? (Sorry about this, I'm new to Linux)
Just got the drmfree version from humblebundle.com. It works nicely with WINE. I'm using LinuxMint 18.2 (based on Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial) and Wine Development 2.18
So, its now released on GOG, and the supported platforms are ... hold yer breath!... Windows, Mac.. the end. Right, so I got a very good solution to ignorance: Simpleplanes actually works on Linux! Although, its called Kerbal Space Program over there. Yeah.
I have been asking for it for so long.
@Sirstupid Linux is probably the most flexible and easy-to-mess-up OS. So don't go around trying every known command and experimenting too much!
Also, choose your distro wisely. Ubuntu is a great choice but watch some videos and choose the right one for you.
And google's your best friend.
Thanks, I'll probably just keep it on Windows. Any Linux tips for a beginner? @RocketLL
I have Ubuntu running on an old Laptop. It will run fine through Wine from what I've heard.
I don't know your tech level, but here:
Steam on Linux
Basically
And then
Should work.
If Steam doesn't work, maybe ask the Devs for an .exe and run that through wine.
Since you're dualbooting, it might be just worth it to run it on Windows.
Also, how many of you use Linux?
