About a year or so ago I built a car in Simple Planes (never published here on the website, wasn't finished) and was wondering what the rules and restrictions were for exporting this model and using it as a mod in another game. I have recently started making car mods for a game known as Live For Speed. I was wondering if I could bring the car I built here in Simple Planes over to LFS in the form of a vehicle mod. The problem is that while I personally am not using the mod commercially, access to mod support and mod cars in Live For Speed requires the purchase of an "S3 License". Would this be allowed or would this be considered commercial use and is the project a no-go? For context, the car was built entirely out of structural wings and a few fuselage blocks (Lights, engine, cockpit block, fuel tanks, and suspension components were removed before exporting) and would need to be heavily modified to fit the vertex/triangle limits for LFS mods (along with a few quality updates and tweaks).
@LowtusF139 I emailed shortly after posting this and got the green light but thanks
It should be fine. No need to email Andrew or anything. Only the building assets are owned by Jundroo, your creation would still be fine
@Defalt1 I’ll try emailing them, thank you
As far as I know, they don't care as long as you don't try to make a profit off of it. PlanariaLab is using models from SP in VRChat
Models are owned by Jundroo, you should email them regarding it
Not sure. I know someone used SimplePlanes models in a tank game mod a while back, but I’m not sure if it’s legal.
